When I buy 3 albums at once, I am usually mildly disappointed in one of them at least. The three I bought Tuesday, Miles (live at Blue Note 1951), Van Hunt and Prince, are all as good or better than I expected, in their own ways. Not that I'd doubt Miles, but it was even better than I expected, and they were giving it away practically!

I haven't had time to listen to all of them yet, but I have started listening to Amp Fiddler's cd and I must admit, I'm a bit disappointed. I'm hoping it picks up towards the end. IT's not bad, but it ain't banging Like I expected. I probably was expecting something more spectacular for 23 bones.

Oh yeah Namepeace, nice selections! I was pretty impressed with that Van Hunt title myself.

Yeah, that Madvillainy is sick! If you like that, you should check out some of MF DOOM'S solo stuff. I'm sure you know this already but he is Zev lov X of K.M.D.

About the Amp Fiddler, there's some nice stuff on there, but I thought he'd be stretching things out a bit further than the bland Neo-Soul thing. My suggestion is that you wait until the domestic release and it'll be well worth the $13 or $15.

It's not that I'm cheap or anything, it's just that when I'm dropping that type of loot on a release it's gotta be mind blowing!!!

You can't go wrong with Prince and Miles for sure!!! And the Van Hunt cd i heard this past weekend (Raleigh Prince weekend) and it's pretty good.

The Van Hunt CD is growing on me. When I heard Prince interviewed last night, he said there weren't many real musicians in the current generation of pop. I assume he would count Mr. Hunt among the few who are.
