falloff It took a minute, mocha, but I'm here! lol

Nice interview, but I dunno...cat sounds like he's not humble to Prince or any of his predecessors. hmmm Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that part where he said it shoud be a compliment to Prince for him to be the "new one" or the comment about Wendy & Lisa. I didn't really see any humbleness come across in this interview. Nevertheless, the brotha is still bad as hell! headbang

prolly can't give much more homage than that !?!?
The guy chose "Prince" over Stevie.

well, guyz I was feelin' my blood pressure go up mad when he started jokin' 'round 'bout the compliment stuff and the Stevie vs. P stuff, i dunno. But I agree with FalseSetto, that he couldn't give a bigger compliment to P, than to refer to him as his Father, lurking although in his case, I'm not so sure the Son (VH) is better than his Father (P). Don't get me wrong, I luv me sum VH and I will sop him up with a biscuit oral, but he has a lot to learn about puttin' together a live show. Yes, musicianship does count for somethin', but daggonnitt, if I'm payin' over $10, I wanna see some a**es wiglin'! I want some perfection!!!!!

postscript: FasleSetto, you are alright in my book.kotc I got cho' back anytime!

I got that part. thumbs up!

Joe "Foley" McCreary's a older-dude-guitar-playin'-specialist of sorts. Mostly electric and/or lead bass. He is most visible whilst playing for Miles Davis and George Clinton (and takes credit for introducing the two) He appears to be funky, and he's quite liberal in his musical taste. And get this, okaypimpn....

he played on "From The Mint Factory" shocked mushy hug

if you want a good example on CD of what Foley can do, check out Lenny White's Album, "Edge" (1999) . Foley plays the funkiest, greasy Bass lines on " "Kashmir", and some screaming lead guitar-like lines with his piccolo Bass on the closing track, "Semi-Five" .
