The Legend Of Billie Jean/Pat Benatar

"I'm Billie Jean Davey and I wanna set the record straight...fair is fair!"

I just wanna say I absolute love this movie, but one of the reasons I love it is because of Pat Benatar! I bought her greatest hits album (two discs) a few months ago and I heard "Love is a Battlefield" and "Invincible" and freaked out! It made me think of the movie, especially when Billie Jean is running here and there to one of the songs and her cult followers are picking her up and dropping her off at different places. I rock out to Pat!

Anybody else remember this movie or love Pat Benatar?

pat benatar so rocks!!!

i had her best shots tape and completely wore it out. i always loved some of her songs but, invincible was mine.
it was legend for me. i cut my own hair and just loved to put that song on while doing it. that scene in the legend of billie jean is just so empowering.

she has a 3 disc anthology that is just great.

fun fact: pat benatar's you better run was the second clip broadcast on mtv.

Pat Benatar is truly the Queen of Rock,as far as I'm concerned.I have loved her since 1980,when I heard her song "Hit Me With Your Best Shot".In the 80s,she delivered one kickass jam after another..."Treat Me Right","Hell Is For Children","Shadows Of The Night","You Better Run","We Belong",and my favorite "Love Is A Battlefield".

She has a multi-disc box set that came out a few years ago.I gotta get my hands on that. And she still continues to tour regularly. It's too bad that most of today's so-called "divas" don't have nearly as much talent, class and style as Pat Benatar does.

I thought "Love Is A Battlefield" was a top notch 80's song with a top notch video. I love at the end after the dance sequence, her and her girlfriends are high-fiving each other, then the video cuts to her riding on the bus...which she did as a result of running away from home..

Ahhh takes me back to 1983 all over again.

Yes,the "Love Is A Battlefield" video is CLASSIC! I love when she throws her drink on that man,and then she and her friends start doing that fierce dance routine.

Jan, give me a review of the new Pat Benatar when you get it. I saw only one copy of it at the store I work at (not a real Cd store though...). There is so much I want to get that I decided to wait on it.

A lot of people were running away in the 80's. What was that about?

Another movie trivia bit:

Helen Slater and Christian Slater = real brother and sister

Nancy Cartwright = Voice of Lisa Simpson

Anyway... I had the biggest crush on Helen Slater after this movie, and her 'after' look when she saw Joan of Arc and cut her hair short for the video... as for Pat Benatar, I loved her 80's music "Love Is A Battlefield" and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"... Her cd "Go" dropped on Tuesday, I hope it does well... smile

I saw Pat Benetar in concert in July and she was awesome! She's still just as cool as she was in the 80's.

Helen and Christian are not related. He said in an interview he had a big crush on her and thought they were meant to be because they had the same last name
