Any peeps who like St. Vincent on here? New album coming out...

I'm not a huge St. Vincent fan but I do like some of her albums, specifically her collaboration with David Byrne from Talking Heads called "Love This Giant" and then the following self-titled album. St. Vincent just announced a new tour, a new album called "All Born Screaming" and single called "Broken Man," which I think is hot! This is the St. Vincent that gets me to buy a concert ticket for the first time! Looking forward to the new tour and album! Following is a link to her new single "Broken Man":

Nice, will check it out, usually a good track or two, I think I prefer her live more, and with other artists. She was great with Beck on the Record Club take of an INXS album. She also had Beck's guitar player playing with her on her last tour and some super funky versions of Digital Witness. But, overall, something just a bit off and I can't enjoy most of her work but appreciate her style and uniqueness.

I think of her more as an avant garde artist. Her MassEducation piano rework of MasSeduction really brings out the quality of her song writing and voice. I've seen her a few times. With David Byrne was great. In 2018 she had a band where the two guys were in full body stockings with Boris Johnson style wigs on, that was weird. Glad I missed her solo shows, where she played to a backing tape; she later admitted that was a mistake. I agree with a lot of people, that she's good, but there's something affected about her work: trying too hard and losing autheniticity. I imagine most people here would appreciate the soul-funk of her Daddy's Home album.
