And I can't agree more.

And I replied to him, David Bowie got his first grammy for being dead, which was harsh but true 1000% The Rolling Stones didn't win a grammy till they were way best their best stuff, they got a grammy nod for "harlem Shuffle" video, and "One Hit to the body" two horrible songs. The Beatles got 99% of their grammy wins/nominations for "The Anthology" and have more music vicdeo awards from the Grammys than for their music. I get his point but dude please I can run down the list of nonsense, Taste Of Honey beat out Elton John for Best New Artist, just for that the voters should be ashamed. I mean does Beyonce deserve to have more grammys than anyone? It's all subjective and the era you are in, I mean when the Beatles won their only album of the year for what is not their best work I feel, they beat out Santana and Frank Sinatra just to name a few, the artistry was a lot better. To be honest this years Grammy Album of the year noms, I could listen and get through two of them. As for Cymones list, Mariah Carey? are you serious for what album? she is ueen of filler dude.

And, as I agreed with Andre Cymone, I also have to admid I agree with your point of view

Strange indeed, about the all these big British Artists you mention.

I try not to compare today'(s contemporary big winner artists too much with the big artistry of uncomparable artists of the sixties up to the eighties, even eearly nineties...

But since we're on it, Beyonce's artistry, and her many, many grammies... She will never beat the amazingness of those who meant much more in pop and rock like Bowie or The Stones, Elton John, or even Prince. In my opinion of course.

To me, pop and rock music is beyond it's limits of renewal and excitement.

Since rap and hip-hop, nothing ever new came to this/these format(s) of music we all love so much. For me, it all went downhill since Stock Aitken & Waterman, in the eighties.

Yeah its tough to compare the times, I mean it also should be noted back then only five got nominated for Album of The Year now eight or nine do because they try to include everyone, maybe they actually should stop that and then some would not lose so much and complain. Also the years Stevie Wonder won, which he actually won 3 times, he also was against a lot more artistry I mean when its Billy Joel Elton John Stevie Wonder Paul Simon, I mean those four alone are better than the whole industry now.
