Possibly fan-made "Dark Ballet" single cover. The song will be out on June 7th.

Woops. Was about to post the Crave video, but got won, haha

I loved it, really liked that it was a smaller production than Medellín, was quite soothing.

I was clowning on the inside but now Im intrigued and actually want to hear it as one piece, with the review saying shes going with her own flow instead of trying so hard to go into trends. God make this better than the forgettables of MDNA, Rebel Heart, Hard Candy eras that Ive only playe once. Confessions was her last relevant/real release to me.

I mostly agree with you. But MDNA grew on me especially after seeing the concert. Live shows always give me a new take on a song (same with Prince, to be honest). So about 3/4 of MDNA works for me. Rebel Heart and Hard Candy can suck a dick.

I've long said she's just horrible when she chases down some teenager with GarageBand. This Swae Lee and Quavo bullshit can suck a dick, too. The Meluma thing wasn't so bad. But these tone-deaf, vox box assholes trying to do something on a Madonna track just feels gross. Part of Hard Candy's short comings was that it sounded like she was guesting on a Timbaland or Pharrell album. (even Duran Duran's album sounded like they were stopping by a Timbaland party). Frankly American Life rounds out the bottom 3 for me.

Confessions on a Dance Floor is just amazing front to back. It was really old school Madonna in the new millennium in the best ways possible.

I'm always hopeful for a new Madge record, so we'll see how this plays out. I'm sorta already tired of the Madame X is this or that quasi-poetry.

I like it,but there's only one problem with it.Madonna is dancing too fast lol This is a mellow, midtempo groove but she's moving around in a wild way, lol.

She looks great,though.

"Dark Ballet" single cover, out next friday.

one journalist described the song this way: imagine if Daft Punk remixed Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" hmmm eek smile

I'm thinking that the darker, more experimental stuff will be the songs that Mirwais produced.

I like her look in the crave video and the hook is catchy but I’m not feeling it in full although I wonder if it’ll grow on me like Medellín did

In a Youtube Q&A,Madonna reveals that "Dark Ballet" is her favorite song on her new album: "The song changes gears so many times",she says."It starts off one way then becomes classical.A lot of modern and classical sounds"

I can't find it either.Supposedly,it was a very chaotic Q&A with dozens of questions and she only answered a few.Someone asked why Madame X wears the eye patch....

"Two reasons. The left side is the receiving side and I want to focus more on giving. Also my left eye is my stronger eye and I want to strengthen my right eye".

lol

Apparently this q&a is/was like a chat room. I will copy a few of the screenshots I’ve come across tomorrow if someone hasn’t found a cut/paste version. Seems pretty tame really but it’s always fun and funny when icons “go online” with the people.

Madonna and Swae Lee’s “Crave” Music Video Delivers a Message

Alternating between color and black and white, the video’s concept is refreshingly simple.

Published 1 day ago on May 22, 2019

By Alexa Camp

Though Madonna’s 2015 album Rebel Heart was infamously plagued by leaks, the singer has kept a tight lid on the follow-up, Madame X. Until last week, that is. Details about the project were scarce leading up to the release of the first single, “Medellín,” but a rough cut of the music video for “Crave,” the album’s second single, leaked after director Nuno Xico inadvertently posted a “fully unfinished” clip to his Vim eo account.

The leak likely cranked up the heat on what already seemed like a rushed release. Madonna reportedly skipped this year’s Met Gala to shoot the video for “Crave,” which is far more radio-friendly than the bilingual “Medellín,” featuring reggaeton singer Maluma. The song is a midtempo trap ballad—yes, that’s a thing—that juxtaposes acoustic guitar and Madonna’s plaintive vocal with 808 snares and a guest verse from rapper-singer Swae Lee.

The video for “Crave,” officially out today, opens with the queen of pop releasing a messenger bird off the roof of a building in downtown New York, overlooking the Manhattan Bridge. One by one, Swae collects her messages, which include a reference to Carson McCullers’s The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, Madame X’s favorite novel.

Alternating between color and black and white, the video’s concept is refreshingly simple, even if the frenetic editing and Madonna’s jerky, hyper-sexualized dance moves clash with the track’s unorthodox but elegant arrangement. Thankfully, she ditches the wigs from “Medellín,” though she is seen donning that as-yet-unexplained “X” eye patch throughout.

Sounds like a new form of self-promotion lol

.

In an interview with Radio.com, the Queen of Pop, 60, revealed that her children — Lourdes, 22, Rocco, 18, David, 13, Mercy, 13 and twin girls Estere and Stelle, 6 — have various responses to her celebrity status and her twins even have a go-to response when people ask if she’s their mom.

.

“The older ones could care less, and the younger ones, they think it’s funny,” Madonna, 60, said. “Today my 6-year-old twins said to me, ‘Mom, everyone’s always asking us if Madonna’s our mother. And we tell them, ‘No, Madame X is our mother.'”

Madonna appears on the cover of Bounce magazine (a Tower Reocrds magazine based in Japan). Not much info that we haven't already heard. The song "Batuka" incorporates African beats and this song also features an orchestra.

It looks like a bedside table, with a cloth, spoon and fork, and a teacup.

yet Madame X is so admirably bizarre, all you can do is stand back and watch the girl go."It's a weird kind of energy",as she sings in "God Control"---a rare moment of Madonna understatement.----from the Rolling Stone review of the album

weirdest of all, there are truly great Madonna moments.Especially "Crave",a love song with florid acoustic guitar where she plays down the accent and gets lost in emotion,or the trip-hop "Crazy".But with her typical nerve, she buries the strongest songs deep in Madame X.To reach them, you have to endure "Killers Who Are Partying",where she ponders political oppression: "I'll be Islam if Islam is hated/I'll be Israel if they're incarcerated"

hmmm
