Well... they're great at taking 12+ years to write and record a single album lol

I'll repeat myself...from 15 years ago... They started out as a great band... up until Undertow/Lateralus... then they essentially began to copy HIndu polyrhythms and whine.... and then every stoner person thought they were the second coming of Christ (or whatever atheistic comparable person/entity there is)... and shoved it down people's throats...

(*at least during my era)... I got jaded with the band I originally liked and had heard of years before, via an older brother... But they're essentially Alanis Morrisette detuned and in Minor Keys... instead of the tabla, you've got Danny Carey doing all that on one kit.

Sure it sounds cool. But underneath it's not really aggressive (for the ppl that feel like they are THE eminent aggressive band) and it's not really original, and it's not really interesting to me... (emphasis to me)... they bore the fuck out of me, and to change what is essentially Hindu music which is mostly uplifitng and transcendant (and plants love it) into something dour and negative isn't my bag... And they DO wear their influences on their shoulder... I think I understand why Maynard J..k.. is so jaded with the band and performances...

Just my nickel.

I don't like "bumping it",....I don't like to be absorbed in that negativity (even if the lyrical content was sometimes thematically/culturally critical and relevant)... and I gotta emphasize this: side project A PERFECT CIRCLE's "Imagine" cover.....is utter SHIT. Sheeee-ite...Shit.
