Hell yeah. Lou Reed on rhythm guitar. Him and Jim were big buddies.

I'm gonna play this song the next time I take the stage. It's so freaking great.

Good gosh, Patti Smith absolutely captures what this song is about. You should watch her take on "People Who Died". The song celebrates life. She gets it. HOLY CRAP does she get it.

I'm gonna write a verse about you know who.

What a surprise, Jim Carroll already wrote that verse, except it's about someone named Dale. But it fits with what I want to do. Here, enjoy a third version of "People Who Died", this time with Allen Lanier of Blue Oyster Cult on keyboard, and what sure looks like Henry Rollins on bass but I can't find confirmation of that. Terrell Winn absolutely destroys the solos:
