Cheap joke, especially when you know she is quoting the song title to personify the tub.

Oh c'mon is she so fragile and delicate she should be exempt (unlike so many others) from any light ribbing for a very public mistake? She gets her own pedestal because...?

Whitney died from heart arrythmia while in the tub of a hotel. You make it sound like she slipped on a banana peel and landed on an AMA award.

Okay, what has that got to do with making a very mild joke about a public figure?

Because it wasn't "a very public mistake" other than she died while also being famous.

I wasn't talking about Whitney I was talking about Lorde. Maybe we're not even on the same page. I made an assumption you got a little ticked at the little jab at Lorde, but maybe you were talking about Whitney.

Lorde's Melodrama was one of best albums of last year. Fantastic record, Lorde is going to be around a long time. As Bowie said of her...'this is what the future sounds like'.

This whole news story is indicative of modern thought police. She clealy didn't mean it in the context the 'raged' are suggesting.

i actually liked the album as well, it was really good

Lorde is of the age where I would expect she has no clue who Whitney Houston is. Hell she was born way after Whitney was relevant and had hits. Fuck we are old.

Damn, thanks for making me feel old. wink

Change it one more time..

Oh please, people will look for any reason to trash young pop stars whose music they don't like lol Lorde is way too nice of a person to ever make some kind of tasteless joke like this, it was an innocent mistake. Keep looking for reasons to hate, though.
