Bruce Springsteen has announced The Album Collection Vol. 2, a new box set collecting his live and studio output between 1987 and 1996.

The limited edition and numbered box spans 10 LPs. It’s due out May 18 via Columbia/Legacy. Included in the set are 1987’s Tunnel of Love, 1988’s Chimes of Freedom EP, 1992’s Human Touch and Lucky Town, 1993’s In Concert/MTV Plugged, 1995’s The Ghost of Tom Joad, and 1996’s Blood Brothers EP.

Also included is a 60-page book featuring photos, memorabilia, and original press clippings from the era.

Each release has been newly remastered for vinyl, and this set marks the first ever vinyl pressing of the Blood Brothers EP.

I remember seeing Springsteen in '88 at the Amnesty International concert; I was pissed because Sting didn't show up but Springsteen did an extra long set with E-Street...and Patty. A lot of people in the crowd were upset because they were so lovey-dovey on stage. lol And here they are still together after all these years...

still together.

The Tunnel of Love album contains one of my favorite Springteen songs, "One Step Up". The lyrics are raw, haunting and self-reflective.

Yeah, although I liked Springsteen in high school that was my first time seeing him with E-Street. My hubbie at the time suprised me with tickets. Bruce was on fire as was the whole band. He and Patty did everything but make out on stage. lol Thinking back, it was wonderful. And who knew that would be one of the last E-Street concerts before they broke up for 12 years. eek I feel very privileged to have seen it. And I will never forget Peter Gabriel's wonderful performance... BTW took a shot at getting a ticket to Bruce on Broadway and I got one. Looking forward to seeing that and NYC again.
