They would have announced that weeks ago if they were going to do that.

Beyonce the First Lady of music, apparently Clive Davis has early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. What the hell kind of statement is this .

Why wouldn't they have it on air by default?! They could have lost that stupid ass Gambino performance to make room. Although, Tina's busy w/ the musical about her life, and she doesn't live in the U.S. anymore, so perhaps she just had better thing to do anyway.

Bruno cleaned up...song of the year...record of the year...album of the year...among others. His performance was great, although some of the other performances were better. My favourite was "Wild Thoughts".

I rarely listen to that song, but I do know the chorus, Why did I not notice that this song was playing?

I wish he would have TR come on Finesse and play a solo on his Keytar, that would have set it off!

Watched some of the footage on YouTube cant be bothered anymore, these shows all look like CBS specials the awards at this point are an afterthought.

The volume on "All The Critics" was so low, at least it happened though!

.

Sad when all the young talent in the word is upstaged by Patti LuPone and a cameo by Hillary Clinton.

.

I thought for sure Carlos Santana was gonna come and redeem that awful Maria Maria song instead, in a twist of irony, we have likely the first performance in Grammy history where the main act (DJ Khaled) was the worst part of it. To quote USA Today, " Tiller reminded us that he’s on this song".

if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

I know we think BRUNO ran away with it, but who the hell is up against??/I mean come on now folks, shit, there is no competition out there at all. You cannot compare the competition of a field that had Lionel Richie Prince and MJ in it every year to what is there today, A Pop field that once had the likes of Stevie Elton and Paul Simon and Billy Joel to what there is now, come on now please. Bruno won a race against a field that is running on one leg if that much.

CynicKill

I was hoping Lana Del Rey's Lust For Life would've gotten a nomination for AOTY.

I'll go out on a limb and predict it will age the best out of all these nominees.

Don't feel too bad for Jay. He has plenty trophies already, (some were questionable). Don't worry. They'll make up for it by giving some his wife more trophies next year or the year after that.

-

The Grammys like the Oscars tend to over nominate new artists and leave them with goose eggs in the end. India.Arie comes to mind (so does, Al Pacino and Denzel Washington in film). Then they'll "make up for it" later in their career by overlooking a more deserving artist and give it to the now "more polished" artist for sub-stellar work. Why not just give honor when honor is due?

-

It was a little embarrassing that Jay didn't win anything in his hometown. But hey, he did win the President's Merit Award.

Identity

I thought I'd awoken in a parallel dimension when Bruno Mars was awarded album of the year instead of Kendrick Lamar. What a freakin joke! 😳
