I love both versions but lean towards Irma Thomas cool

Man, the original blues singers always beat the Rolling Stones. Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Bo Didley.

I will say this is incredibly close. I hadn't heard this version before. I like the vocals better, and even though I think the Stones run the original close ( I like the Stones guitar solo, and think Jaggers solo vocal is also good) I give it to Irma Thomas.

The Stones were always better doing gimme shelter, sympathy for the devil, angie, miss you, shattered, under my thumb, play with fire, ruby tuesday. paint it black,

There blues music was good, but always suffered with the original IMHO.
