Anderson .Paak's Malibu and Tuxedo's 2 albums (Tuxedo and II) are full of solid pop songs. Yuna crafts good pop songs too. Pharrell Williams' G I R L was a good pop record.

This is not commerical contemporary mainstream pop music, none of it. I see feelings were hurt in that last thread and I see people also weren't reading. This is a nice thread though razz Yes, there is good modern music which was noted in the other thread BUT today's commercial music is shit for the most part smile

No you are, nobody said there wasn't good modern music and whats ignorant is the way you all behave any time someone criticizes todays trashy pop music.

Boring and tired topic. Let's try and keep the thread discussion relevant - in this case that means posting music, not discussing other threads that are still open and active.

I was remarking to a pal just the other day that I thought Homme had a really sweet falsetto that
you don't often hear in male rock vocalists.

Lame as it is, I was originally put off simply because somebody else had already done a song called Adore. But I LOVE this song now. She's a local girl to me and only 19 but haven't loved a song like this since forever.

My current favorite pop album is Fake Sugar by Beth Ditto, the former Gossip singer.

When I hear the term pop music, to me it doesn't necessarily have to mean something that's super successful or played on the radio, but just music that is melodic, accessible, not too avant garde, but could sound good on the radio.

Anything that follows the conventional verse-chorus-verse structure is pop music to me.
