Yes I concur, thanks Cynic for the run down. I knew some of the background but not all of it. I don't follow the hip hop world's gossip mill too much anymore, but I do know that the ignorant Nicki Minaj is just a lightweight in this heavyweight battle. But also, I'm not sure that Remy should've put out a 2nd diss track so quick after "shETHER" either. It kind of makes her look cocky when she's already winning.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Why are these rappers always like this, threatening to kill each other and start shit all the time. You don't see rock groups do this when sound like this. Given that Nikki is a talentless skank, that does not bode for this remy ma, person either. I have never heard her, but assume she is another shit hopper who sings about sex and having a big ass. These bitches should just stop and share the dicks they both want to sucks.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I guess you forgot about Biggie and Tupuc who are both in the ground because of this type of nonsense. This Remy Ma fool just got out of prison for shooting someone. Not to mention the level of cooning that is going on

Nobody has been killed in a hip hop beef since Biggie was murdered very near 20 years ago.

"Another One" was redundant and not as hard as "Shether" but that doesn't negate the impact of "Shether". Charlemagne said it best, Remy bodied Nicki with "Shether" and put another bullet in her corpse with "Another One".

Remy's 2nd diss being weaker shouldn't be an excuse for Nicki to not respond on wax which she still has yet to do. Nicki, the self-proclaimed "Queen of Rap" has had 2 shots fired at her yet still hasn't clapped back in any meaningful way. All she can do is tweet about how she's sold more than Remy which is irrelevant and shows her as the cheap pop star in rapper's clothing that she is. Nicki can actually rap which is a shame because she's just wasted potential and if she doesn't step up now she never will.

Remy ma won its over Nicki is not going to reply. Remy put out a second diss trying to recreate a back to back and further embarrass Nicki just like drake did to her X meek mill.

This is good for rap music battle rapping is the core of rap music rap music is a competitive sport different from other genres of music. Biggie & Tupac died over street beef this is lyrical beef. And yes remy ma did go to jail for attempted murder but the charge doesn't tell you about what actually happened or the person. A gun went off by accident from a fight because someone stole 3000 dollars from remy. She got the book thrown at her but she's not a terrible person.

What if it's her PR people and not her, for the reason for not clapping back? Just saying.

I just read on the interwebs that Ms. Ma's track ShEther has been yanked by Universal Publishing over a Nas copyright or somethin'. It would be irony most sweet to see the end of "diss tracks" sealed by a judge over royalties by the owners, I mean record companies that finance these tremendous artists.
if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

Stop believing everything you read on MediaFakeOut... Shether is still on sale at iTunes... im sure Nas cleared the sample.

It ain't up to Nas. He's said he has no issue with it. It's Universal that's claiming copyright, and trying to shut down Remy, even saying she can't perform it live, because they're claiming the copyright on the lyrics as well - since it's a whole new composition based on a song they own. If she had asked for permission, she wouldn't be looking like a punk.

Shether has made all the waves it was gonna make the beef is over. I'm sure remy made money off of it and the whole ordeal got her some publicity. But her focusing on other is way more than trying prolong the hype of diss record. Everythings ran its course now.

It was cleared by the producer of the beat Ron Brownz so someone is LYING. As he was asked by Angie Martinez and its still for sale on various platforms. Labels always take stuff down from soundcloud for copyright reasons all the time.

Great article.

Nicki exposed herself big time in this whole ordeal as an opportunistic, commercially-driven pop star. The L is all hers.

As the critics said in the past, the lady's still first!

Brown and Latifah have since squashed their beef. Brown performed on The Queen Latifah Show too.

She rode like five different beats and seemed to take care of any future beefs that might come. AND she brought the men into it.
