JAMES BROWN - The Godfather of Soul

We all know how big an influence JB was on Prince.

Here's a tribute video to the The Godfather of Soul on the 10 year anniversary of his passing.

Happy holidays to you all and keep it ON THE ONE!!!

What year did James become the King of R&B and Soul? He was just making a name for himself in the mid-late 50s. By the mid 60s, he was the subject of songs from peers like Arthur Conley and Joe Tex.

That's a good question. I wonder when he got that title.

Check out the documentary "Mr.Dynamite" by French/German TV channel Arte.

Alan Leeds is in it, too.

Great documentary.

Yes its a great one. Is it the same one that aired on HBO and Mick Jagger was involved with?
