She used to be known for going after people on social media and being unapologetic about it. her fans love her for her bluntness , honesty, down-to-earthedness but also cool and natural "yeah i know i'm bad, yeah i know i'm stylish and all that" but just because she doesn't shove it on your face doesn't mean it's not there

Besides Bitch Betta Have My Money, Rihanna doesn't sing about her money or riches and songs like Needed Me IMO is a song that is in response to a man that is upset about a break up and who then spreads lies. She is not going to let someone talk about her and not defend herself for image reasons. She is not fake or phony which is why people respect her. There is no smoke and mirrors with her like there is with other pop stars. Men like her because her music is universal and she doesn't cater to one specific audience. In other words, she doesn't just cater to women. She caters to other groups of people. And since when is being self assured a form of ego centric? To me a ego centric song is a song like "Bow Down Bitches", telling the world to bow down to you doesn't get anymore narcisstic than that..

Swagger has a lot to do with how someone presents themself to people and I don't think she presents herself in a cocky fashion. Bold or Charimsatic are better choice of words than cocky or egosistical to describe her "swagger" or demeanor but like I said earlier we can agree to disagree because we obviously view the words and context of how the words are being used differently.
