Disposable shit hop novelty acts

What do you guys think of the rash of one hit wonder novelty rap songs and their artists. I was just thinking about last year's biggest new star Silento.

.

He had that annoying Nae Nae whip song which was a uranium hit and had a worldwide following and teh song was MILKED dry. Yet Silento has disappeared and not troubled the chart since. His follow up Get Em, failed every chart and a duet song barely touched the chart. It is obvious at the age of 18 Silento is a washed up has been.

.

Why dow e support these talentless hacks, Silento had almost no talent and just sung along to a autotune and looped beat that was phoned in around 1972 and been used on a bazillion shitty rap dance songs since. His song incorporated rap dances like

.

Dougie - Kelly Swagdistrict

Wheelchair stunting song, catdaddy - The Rejects

Naenae by ?

Whip by ?

Do it like Berney by ?

.

These were all forgettable 1 or 2 hit wonders (Somes a feat song or duet gave groups like Rae Smurda a second hittete).

.

What do you guys think of this type of disposable rap trend song? I hate it myself.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Exactly, that's how forgettable as these novelty acts are.

Had I said Silento this time last year, y'all would have known who I was talking about.

That was a serious question. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass at all. I really do not know any of those preformers at all.

I've had heard The Nae Nae song recently. It's definitely not my cup of tea OR coffee! lol

I hear you, I don't like them or follow them either, but if you ever switch on a music video showor channel or turn the radio on to hear a song, this shit always comes on and young people seem to dig it.

.

Also if the songs, are such big hits some one is buying that shit.

.

Vanilla Ice had skills compared to this new lot, okay he was corny and Cool as Ice was dreadful, but his success stopped after Ice Ice Baby (Which everyone like initially - come on) and Play that funky music.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

And don't forget he was in Madonna'a Sex book in 1992.....and then afterwards his 15 minutes was up as a rapper. Did u see him on Dancing With The Stars?

No sorry, they don't play that show in New Zealand, we had our own version around 2010.

.

He also did something with the Ninja turtles or some shit like that. Never bothered to hear Mind Blowing which sold 42,000 copies after To the extreme was 7 Platinum.

It's called getting old. The young will always like what the old ones hate - it's a rite of passage. I do wonder why however, yet again, you pick on a genre defined by Black culture? Why not just the sheer amount of one hit wonders that come and go? There are many, many one hit talentless hacks that just sing along to autotune and a looped beat - why choose to only comment on hip-hop? Oh yeah - I forgot - Adore insisting he's not racist again whilst completely showing us otherwise.

One person's shit is another's treasure. Learn to appreciate we are a world of many tastes. Maybe your musical preference differs from others but why berate them for not liking the same music as you? I just don't get it.

I agree with you here, shitty one hit wonder songs come in all races and forms, who can forget the cringe fest of Caucasian country singer Billy ray Cyrus and his 1992 smash - Achy Breaky heart, bloody white people lol even worse was his loins spat out the godawful Miley Cyrus.
