At just 34-years-old, Beyoncé stands as the second youngest self-made woman to make this year’s list of America’s Richest Female Entertainers, in addition to being ranked as one of the 60 Most Successful Self-Made Women In America.

Nearing two decades since first stepping into the spotlight with Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé has earned her place as one of the greatest entertainers of all-time, and arguably the greatest entertainer of her era.

In addition to the immediate impact of the visual album, every song on Lemonade debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, making her the first woman ever to chart 12 songs on the Hot 100. All 12 Songs also appeared on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart. Her four top 10’s on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop songs chart makes Beyoncé the only woman to score that many concurrent top 10 songs.

Although Beyoncé’s accolades as an artist secure her future seat in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it’s been her evident evolution from superstar artist to savvy entrepreneur that elevated her brand to unparalleled heights.

Beyonce Sued by Filmmaker Over 'Lemonade' Trailer

Matthew Fulks claims clip rips off short film 'Palinoia,' which label executives, creatives had potentially seen


Filmmaker Matthew Fulks has sued Beyoncé, Sony, Columbia and the pop star's Parkwood Entertainment for allegedly lifting elements of his short film, Palinoia, for Lemonade, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Fulks said he was previously contacted about directing a video for the Columbia-signed group MS MR and his clips — including Palinoia — were sent to various people at the label, including frequent Beyoncé director, Bryan Younce. Fulks further claims that in July 2015, Younce invited him to submit a video treatment to Columbia for consideration. Filming for Lemonade began five months later.

"The misappropriated content includes both the particular elements that the Plaintiff chose to comprise the Palinoia Work and the coordination and arrangement of those particular elements," the suit reads.

The complaint includes nine side-by-side comparisons between Palinoia and the Lemonade trailer, which amount to 39 seconds of the 60-second clip. Among the similarities listed are "red persons with eyes obscured," which can be seen below, and, "graffiti and persons with head down," the image above that serves as Lemonade's album cover and the film's opening shot.

Fulks is seeking damages, as well as all profits that can be attributed to the exploitation of Palinoia, including profits from the sale of Lemonade in all media formats.

I guess she still hasn't learned the difference between true "inspiration" and robbery. lol Daddy Knowles should've taught her better. I guess when you're trained to believe with wealth and supposed influence you can do whatever you want in the industry without any remorse or consequence, you'll continue to make the weak bowdown at your feet.

Good for Mr. Fulks for standing up for his work. (Disclaimer: I haven't personally seen Matthew Fulks work) But, it sure sounds like the rest of her track record when it comes to her "creative vision" for past projects. Can't deny the pattern.
