Alicia Keys Returns w/ Infectious New Single

It’s been nearly four years since we last heard from Alicia Keys, but she's back with her new single “In Common.”

Her next album drops this summer.

Nice. cool

ALICIA KEYS WILL BE ON ‘SNL’ PREMIERE NEW MUSIC.

Alicia Keys has announced that new music is finally on the way.

The R&B songstress took to her newly-launched Snapchat account, AKStreetGoddess, to make the big announcement.

“I’ve been dying to share some news with you for awhile,” said Keys in a clip posted Saturday (Apr. 16). “You’ve been asking and asking and it’s finally real. That’s right. I have new music to share with you and I’m gonna be performing in the next couple of weeks.”

Keys is set to showcase her new music on “Saturday Night Live” on May 7

Is it me or does the writers of Drake's "I'll Take Care of You" can expect some residual checks in the mail? Those chords sound familiar in the chorus.

This is some what of an improvement for her. She hasn't been good since her second album, imo.

She's given up trying to sound old school. A mix of Rhianna meets Beyonce. Somewhat afropop as well. Not too bad. Remember my warning with this gal: her first single is usually the only good song

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Same here! This girl is on fire, is such a meaningless song, that says nothing and people ate that shit up and it became a massive hit. It was soul-less and too commercial for my taste. She had so much potential when she first started but now she has to try and compete with people like Tinashe. We'll see what her new stuff sounds like.

Its meh to me. Alicia's best albums are her first and second when she had that authentic blues like sound. It went well with her raspy voice and her singing use to be so raw. Her latest releases all sound the same and uninspired. Such a same she seemed so promising.

I guess I'm one of the few that isn't feeling it. I listen to the intro and keep waiting

for it to take you somewhere and it just doesn't. I'm like everyone else who says

Diary is her best work but I also liked latter singles Teenage Love Affair

and I'm Ready.

Me too...I like the house feel...you would think that since living in NY she would be influenced a lil bit with that sound....Beynce did it as well with the Fela inspired Grown Woman....this is far much better than what she has put out since the first two albums, so she has me curious. At one point for me, I was like if this chic write one more screaming to the top of her voice anthem songggg!!!!!?

I totally agree those two were her best and the rest of her work since was generic though I was liking sleeping with a broken heart for a minute

Alicia paid a visit to
Saturday Night Live (May 7) for a special Mother’s Day tribute, where she performed two new songs:

She looked beautiful sans makeup on SNL. Purple lights in the backgroud was her tribute...

I love it and I haven't loved any of her songs since her "Diary" album. I like how it is mello and she isn't screeching like a wild hyiena. Hope the rest of the new album is along this vibe, if so, I'll be prompted to buy an album of hers, which I haven't done in years.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I don't think she's put out a bad album.

Over-rated? Yeah she was over hyped as the next Stevie Wonder, but she's pretty darn good.
