I love Primal Scream (they're one of my very favourite bands), but their latest album 'Chaosmosis' leaves me a little cold. Not that it's that bad or even that I disike most like the songs - after a few listens, 'I Can Change' is a real standout, and 'When the Light Gets In' and 'Autumn in Paradise' are great catchy synth-pop songs. But overall, I can't imagine the album getting much replay. Not one of their better works.

However, I saw them live last Friday at the London Palladium and they blew my tits off! Incredible concert. Hearing XTMNTR tracks live turned my head to mush, and the new stuff sounded pretty good in a live setting.

Any fans of the Scream on the org? What did you think of the album?

I love the album. It is one of my favorite albums of 2016 so far. Now I have to admit I have not followed them that closely over the years. So maybe I don't hold them to such a high standard as dedicated fans or can compare it to their older music, most of which I'm not familiar with.

I actually checked it out because of the duet with Sky Ferreira who I'm a huge fan of.

Love the new album, my only drag is that's it's too short! Love the 80's vibe and Screamadelica meets Beautiful future vibe it gives off.

Really hope they come to the Netherlands to tour the album, been following them ever since 1994 and they never really disappointed. Live a force to be reckoned with!

I can hear the Screamadelica meets Beautiful Future vibe. Beautiful Future is also one of my lesser favourites of theirs (but still a great album!).


Glindathegood, if you haven't properly listened to Primal Scream, I guess Chaosmosis is as good an entry point as any! Screamadelica, Vanishing Point, XTRMNTR are my favourites, and all classics in my opinion.
