Henaz

As Beatles, John then Paul but only by a whisker. As solo artists, John, Paul and George are equal to me, today. I do like Ringo as well

Paul McCartney is inarguably the best pop musician who ever lived. His talents as a self-
contained band in addition to his musicianship, songwriting abilities, and studio craftsman-
ship laid the foundation for the existence of your Stevie Wonders, Princes, and other one
man/woman band recording artists.

sorry but "best pop musician" IS arguable

and he did not lay the foundations for Wonder and Prince. James Brown and Sly were more important to the development of pop/soul/funk music than anyone of the mop tops ever was

I agree with you the beatles did not have as much influence on my black brothas as the kings of funk. buttttttttt Stevie did make several beatles covers( "We can Work it out" on SSD and "She's leaving Home" on Syreeta; Prince made ATWIAD a very beatles-laden album drenched in psychedelia)

I feel as though There's a Riot Goin On is the most important album of the 70's and James Brown is the most influential composer of the 20th century.

Did Prince ever deny he had sex with his sister? I believe not. So there U have it..

There's A Riot seems like the foundation of the sound' of today black music (hip-hop), like a very dark moody sound and specially the lyrics.

I used to read this comic strip every Sunday when my folks bought the newspaper. At the time we had 2 local papers, and a lot of the time they bought both. So there was 2 comic sections for me, because that was the only part I read, along with the entertainment section & TV Guide.

What's the name of this character in English? In Dutch he's known as Flippie Flink, I have no idea what the originsl name is.

John. I like reading & watching biographies about him. He's an interesting character & study in contradictions. I also like his music better than the other 3. I do like some of Paul's music as well.

It was one of my favorites as well. Same deal with two papers, there was a morning one and an afternoon one. Comics, TV Listings and Entertainment (for concerts and movies) ... guess we have a lot in common. lol

Me, too. I loved the Beetle Bailey comic strip when I was a kid. My cousin used to have Beetle Bailey comic books which I coveted and "borrowed" from him... lol
