The unofficial Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, has even more holiday festivities up her sleeve.

The singer’s Christmas concert special, Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas, will air on the Hallmark Channel December 19, immediately after the premiere of her feature directorial debut, A Christmas Melody.

The one-hour musical event features Mariah singing some holiday classics, as well as duetting with Grammy winner Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.

In addition to the music performances, the special will include actor Kelsey Grammer reading “The Night Before Christmas,” and Mike & Molly’s Billy Gardell as Santa Claus.

Mariah’s cast members from A Christmas Melody -- including star Lacey Chabert -- also will be on hand to share holiday memories and on-set experiences.

Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas airs on the Hallmark Channel Saturday, December 19 at 10 p.m. ET.

Yeah umm but can she still sing the songs though? Because wasn't it last year when she completely massacred the song on at the Rockefeller lighting ceremony or something? Shucks I'll pass. Even though it may be a tad better than Terrance and Taraji P. Henson's awful "White Hot Holidays" Christmas special...when those fools had the audicity to sing and butcher Christmas songs when neither of them can hold a tune. disbelief And let's not get started on Chris Brown's awful performance on the special. He was singing over his OWN TRACK and still couldn't hold a note. WTF.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

lol I managed to watch a few minutes of it here and there. They had absolutely no business putting Terrance and Taraji in musical numbers eek . It was horrible! Let them stick with acting. And I had to turn it off when I found out they actually invited Chris Brown on to murder Christmas songs! It was just too much for me to bear!!! omfg I mean, really? Out of all of the contemporary artists who have recorded holiday albums, someone actually thought Chris Brown was an appropriate choice??? wacky

I mean don't get me wrong...I'm actually one of the people who rooted for Chris when he was trying to get his act together. I actually believe ole boy could possibly be bipolar...but that aside, I've always felt that he has some type of talent. He's a way better dancer than singer...honestly I've never been a fan of his singing but I love to see him perform. Lately though, his performances have been shitty as fuck. He was terrible on the Tonight Show and he was even more awful on that wack Christmas special. I don't know what's been going on with him as of late but whenever you sound shitty singing over YOUR OWN RECORDED VOICE, then something in the water doesn't compute.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Hey you get old, you move with the flow of what's appropriate for your age and wht works without fail.

That said, wherever I am in the world during winter holiday season, that damned album of hers is playing no matter where the hell I go. Christmas music has been GOOD to Mariah Carey and will feed her kids and keep them skiing in Aspen long after she's diamond covered dust in her crypt lol

Kit,..Chris is considered a "Bad Boy" but the Bruh can sing a song & dance his Face off....Why would anyone be surprised he got an invite to sing a Xmas song? I have not seen the FOX special performance but I heard it was one of his "off" nights....

Sad my foot. If she becomes the Queen of Christmas then so be it When one gets older, usually their priorities change, long term career strategy that shapes an airtight, secure future will always trump being the hot young shiny thing of the moment. I don't care where I am in this world, come Christmas time, those darn songs are she wrote are playing on every pop station, oldies station, shopping center Muzak system, teenie bopper clothing store, outdoor Christmas bazaar, and on evey kind of commercial as the score to a TV special or store advertisement; Marian's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be eating well off the mint she has made and will continue to make off those Christmas tunes. Her relevance on radio may be over in terms of hearing her latest jam everywhere every day, but like the folks who wtote the White Christmases and Winter Wonderlands before her time, Mariah's penning the Oh Santas and Alls I Want for Christmases have purchased her a fare card to virtual musical immortality. smoker lol
