A few from Thin Lizzy

I love the groove, the lyrics, the vocal delivery, and the twang, of this song...

Mama Nature Said-Vagabonds Of The Western World(1973)

In the rock world, Thunder And Lightning gets somewhat mixed reviews.

Personally i think its a bad ass album. I would love for it to be remastered because it has a somewhat muddled sound, though.

Also, Its criminal that historically, radio has only played like three songs from Thin Lizzy's catalogue. My opinion is that they got at least a dozen more songs that should be(and have always been) played on rock and roll radio.

Phil lynott's death was such a loss. Sad.

Bad Habits-Thunder And Lightning(1983)

Someday She Is Going to Hit Back-Thunder And Lightning(1983)

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

EroticDreamer

I bought their Definitive Collection last November but still haven't made the time to listen to all of it.

Thank you for the links and I had only heard one of those tracks previously.

No problem. I guess i better say this. Just because i disagree with you on certain subjects in P & R, doesn't mean we(or anyone else) cant rap about music.

Anyway, my personal opinion is that the albums Jailbreak, Black Rose, Johnny The Fox, Fighting, Bad Reputation, and Nightlife, are must own's.

Vagabonds of the Western World, is up there as well.

Renegades, Chinatown, and Thunder And Lightning, have a bunch of good cuts on them also.

Thin Lizzy is the type of band who needs to have a Box Set compilation. A one set CD doesn't do them justice. Not even close.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

Whoa, i don't remember this comp. I have(in various formats)all of Thin Lizzy's albums, but I'm gonna have to look into this. How's the production? If the sound of Cruising is any indication, then I'm sold.

Nice song, and nice heads up !

The Production? The Mastering you mean? I'm no expert but from reading around it has the usual complaints, i.e. not as good as the early cd's but better than the most recent. It sounds fine to me but i'm no audiophile.

It's a great overall collection though, covering their entire career from their debut single right up to Phil's last solo single. I have the reissue of it which comes in a book rather than a box, you can get it on discogs for about 20-30 dollars + shipping. Not too expensive at all

Amen, friend.

Don't pay much attention to me on the P & R board, that's my rule-all wicked witch persona.

TOPIC- For obvious sad reasons I'm deep into Bowie for the next week but then I'm going to get to know Thin Lizzy better.

I'm intrigued.
