Anyone know what's going on over at Funkytown Grooves? Their reissues have slowed down considerably over the past few months. They only announced a couple of reissues for 2016 so far and the Dionne Warwick reissues they announced last spring continue to be in limbo.

For the first time these two Warner Brothers Isley Brothers albums "Masterpiece” and "Smooth Sailin’” are available on a double CD package.
"Masterpiece” was originally released in 1985 and was their first for a new label (Warner Brothers) and featuring the original three man line up of Ronald, O’Kelly & Rudolph Isley, after the two younger siblings & Brother-In-Law had formed Isley, Jasper, Isley.
The album was a new direction for The Isley Brothers, with only one track written by the band ‘May I’, and more cover versions feature including Phil Collins’ ‘If Leaving Me Is Easy’ and Charlie Rich’s ‘The Most Beautiful Girl’.
"Masterpiece” reached the Top 20 in the Billboard R&B album chart.
The Robinsongs re issue features two bonus tracks, the 7” single version & Instrumental version of the lead single from the album "Colder Are My Nights”
"Smooth Sailin’” was released two years later in 1987, and as a duo after the untimely death of O’Kelly Isley. ‘Smooth Sailin’ Tonight’ was the standout single from the album and peaked at #3 in the R&B Charts.
Seven Bonus Tracks are included in this Robinsongs package of "Smooth Sailin’”
This package features comprehensive sleeve notes by Charles Waring who contributes to MOJO and Record Collector and is the co-founder of www.soulandjazzandfunk.com
