I found this Flying Picketts cover to be an interesting choice, but apparently it has been associated with the season ever since their version was number one Christmas 1983? I can't remember.

I never noticed that! I was raised in a Protestant church, but these are all my favorite Christmas tunes.

Like.. I have thought about if I was to record a Christmas album, I would want to do these songs. Also "Here Comes Santa Claus" (so it sounds like Apollonia 6 "Blue Limousine), "Jingle Bells" (I already started this one, chopping "Strange Games & Things" by Love Unlimited Orchestra), and now that I see "Only You" is considered a Christmas tune, I would so do that too. LOL!

Ever seen a kid cry at a Christmas Party saying "What did I do?" when Santa gives out the gifts that the parents have to pre-order.

It's horrible for the kids, its horrible for the parents who can't afford to buy into the stupid scam.

The original version is actually by synthpop duo Yazoo in 1982.

Totally! That's the one I knew of and Yaz's "Only You" isn't the reason it is associate with the season.

My favorite on this album is a new Kylie original titled "White December"! I can't find a link to it, though. They used it as the DVD menu music, so someone agrees with me.
