I bet,a few after they fired him, they were pissed to see him having all that success smile

Lesson learned about "firing the young guy"! B.T. Express would have already endured the worst of his behavior by then, whatever it was. It just sounds like Kashif was very ambitious and outgrew the group.

Thank GOD, or we would probably have never heard "I'm In Love" by Evelyn King.

There's a little BIT of that Kashif sound on their 1980 hit, "Does It Feel Good?" The album was produced by Morrie Brown (of Mighty M Productions) who, in the early days, worked with Paul Laurence Jones & Kashif. I can't imagine how B.T. Express might have sounded going forward tho. Their last album, "Keep It Up," should have been HUGE, but WASN'T. It's actually my favorite B.T. Express album and it was just recently remastered/reissued for the first time on CD by Funkytowngrooves in 2011, I believe. Good SHIT! Funky, melodic and SYNTHY, Cinny! smile

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.
