This is a novelty retrocrap disco song with about ten words repeated over and over about dating a girl who loves being high on cocaine. People are acting like its Michael Jackson covering Shakespeare. Max Martin garbage. confused His other stuff is dull as rocks too. Next.

There's no actual girl. In the song he personifies cocaine as a girl, declares his love for ''her'' and the euphoric state she puts him in, along with the numbness of the face caused by the side effect.

So the clever part is that he doesn't gender-identify his implied paramour, implying the drug is his paramour?

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I like the music on his new record but the lyrics are pretty terrible.

I agree. You get to an age when you want to avoid this stuff if possible. At least Lana Del Rey understans the aesthetics of glamour.
