Janet's Islam conversion 'ends raunchiness'

added: 18 Sep 2015 // by: Music-News.com Newsdesk

Janets-Islam-conversion-ends-raunchinessPrintable version

Janet Jackson has reportedly nixed 'raunchy' lyrics and dancing after converting to Islam.

The 49-year-old superstar married business magnate Wissam Al Mana in 2012, who was born in Qatar but raised in London, England.

.

Despite his British upbringing Wissam kept true to his Islamic heritage and Janet has adopted her other half's Muslim faith as her own.

'The days of raunchy dance moves and sexual lyrics are long gone for Janet,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

.

Janet is currently performing concerts as part of her The Unbreakable World Tour. Onlookers have noted she has been ending each show by signing 'Insha Allah' with her hands, which means 'If Allah wills'.

.

It's claimed Janet takes her newfound faith very seriously and has been doing all that she can to incorporate Muslim religious practices into her everyday life.

'She feels like she has found a home with her new religion and has told members of her family, who completely respect her choice,' the insider explained. 'She has spent a great deal of time studying the religion and its followers.'

.

Sources previously revealed her entire comeback with album Unbreakable and the accompanying tour is representative of the huge transformation Janet has undergone.

"[Unbreakable is about] the human spirit, love, marriage, Janet's precious family and her fans,' a source told ET Online.

.

"The music icon wants her message to the world to be that through mistakes, pain and loss, the bonds of love are Unbreakable.'

.

Janet confirmed the nature of her return to the music industry herself via Twitter.

"I promised you'd hear it from my lips and now you will. This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going," the star noted in a video she tweeted.

Janet Jackson Cancels iHeartRadio Festival Show Due To ‘Ear Issue,’ Still Performing At Charlotte ‘Unbreakable’ Concert

Janet Jackson is no longer performing this weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. The 49-year-old singer abruptly canceled her show at the MGM Grand Arena because of a recent illness that's keeping her from traveling.

A rep for Jackson told Billboard the singer pulled out of the festival's star-studded lineup because of "a recent ear issue preventing her from flying." Jackson, however, is still slated to perform Friday night in Charlotte, North Carolina during a stop on her "Unbreakable" world tour.

“We’re live in North Carolina tonight home of @JColeNC #ColeWorld. See you guys soon! #Unbreakable #UnbreakableRaleigh,” Jackson tweeted.

It seems like Jackson may have been suffering from her ear issue for a while now. Fox Vegas reported the "Rhythm Nation" singer was advised by doctors to hold off on her world tour, but she went ahead with it anyway.

As previously reported, Jackson kicked off "Unbreakable" on Aug. 31 in Vancouver, Canada. At one point during the show, Jackson got emotional and was seen wiping away tears as she told the audience, "I love you so much, so much, so much. And I've missed you!"

Jackson's tour, her first since 2011's "Number Ones, Up Close and Personal," is scheduled to run through June 2016. The singer and sister of the late Michael Jackson is also preparing for the release of her new album, also titled "Unbreakable."

The 17-track album is slated to drop Oct. 2 and features J. Cole on the song "No Sleeep" and Missy Elliot on "Burnitup!" Jackson released "No Sleeep" in June and dropped the music video for it in July.

Is she doing a lot if lip-synching like in the following clip...it is she actually putting some sound waves into the mic. I assume she actually sings a couple songs but any numbers that include any moving around or even the slightest dancing will be lip synched. Someone of her age and vocal abilities is bound to be dancing to DAT. Ifbshensings at all it would be an improvement from the following clip. She's absolutely still and still lip synching. 'Singing(not even dancing) to DAT'

I'm so sorry! I couldn't help it. Aside from his constant doodoohole licking of P...knotsocool always does the rolleyes and its UTTERLY annoying. So I retorted to his rolleyes with a rolleyes ... Then the rolleyes 's got outta hand. It was a futile attempt to show knotsocool how inarticulate a rolleyes is...and ultimately disrespectful. Again..sorry for all the rolleyes s purplethunder.

But here's another rolleyes u can machinegun and here's another rolleyes that knotsocool can rolleyes to.

Talked to some members of the Jtribe, who attended the show. They said it was an awesome show and her second sold-out show in NC. Sherri Sheppard was there last night and posted footage on periscope. Whatever ear issue she is having it sure doesn't look like its affecting her high energy performances. Cause Ms. Jackson was getin' it!

I'm not believing anything until it comes from Janet herself. I've learned never to trust what the media says about her...And if she has converted good for her. It's her life and her decision. Besides I like the fact that she can be completely covered and doing the damn thang!!!

Janet has always been covered and she has always wore black. I am not sure why people are assuming she is Muslim because she is covered up, she is always been like that.

Exactly! It's because of who she is married to. Even at her sexist she was still very much covered. Janet was only showing cleavage and abs. It would be interesting if she does an interview this era. Although you best believe that will not be something she will discuss given how guarded she is. Can't say I blame her either. A lot of Americans seem to hate Muslims.

Finally witnessed "Mrs." Janet in Charlotte last night and it was great! It took all I had NOT to look at or read anything involving the tour once it kicked off. Very high energy and I like what i'm hearing so far from the new album. Her entire crew is A-1, as expected, and J was most definitely singing LIVE, and along w/ playback during heavy dance sequences. She still looks and sounds good! Wifey, more familiar with MJ's music (thanks to myself), is becoming a fan on the strength this show. She was blown away by her showmanship and interaction with her fans throughout the night. She sure was right when she said, "Funny how time flies" cool .

I tried to stay away from fan footage....but couldn't resist. I see Janet on Sept 23 in Orlando. I love reading fan reviews. I haven't read one bad one. The only thing people complained about was the traffic. Some fans even missed the show because of it.

Oh yeah...Traffic lol. About that... We were 5 minutes late to the show, but got a parking spot without issue (it was a nice little walk from the pavillion, but it was free lol)...the show ended around 10. it took us about 2 hours to get out. It was a logistical nightmare, and some ignorance did ensue after a while. Quite a few fenders got nipped, and I almost swiped an SUV that tried to barrel its way ahead of me. We were heated. That adrenaline kept me up on that 1.5 hr drive home though. Some of the parking attendants were useless. Don't know how the Orlando layout is, but get there early & get out early if you can help it.

she's actually had inner ear issues since the rhythm nation tour. she told Donnie Simpson on video soul she had to postpone a few shows because of it. if her ear was bothering her i can see how she wouldnt fly to vegas after back to back shows in north carolina to do a short set at a radio festival tonight, then turn right back around and fly to miami for a show tomorrow, i dont even understand why her team would book that.
