^ and @ the thread: I don't think she's that awful. She's no Aretha, but her voice isn't too irritating, she's definitely easy on the eyes and I can name a handful of decent songs by her. I really like Teenage Dream (the song) .

I like Katy cause she doesn't seem to take herself too seriously and doesn't go on and on bout her "art" and her "vision" bs.

Chancellor...."Sheryl 'nose job' Crow"....She's had more than just her nose worked on...I remember her lawyers sent VH-1's "Before They Were Stars" show a cease order to not show some unflattering (pre fame) photos of her. Supposedly some of them showed her toothless and overweight (back in the early to mid 80's).

Dark Horse is a very well crafted song, if you used Hot N Cold as an example I might buy this. I doubt you pay attention to what gets airplay if you think Dark Horse is as bad as it gets.

There is a function for fun, party music in today's life though. I heard a lot of Pitbull when I went to Las Vegas, for instance.
