I lost interest years ago in Snoop and Dre. The only West Coast guy I would be
interested in hearing new material from is Ice Cube.

Just heard the snippets from iTunes. Although I can't give a fair judgment on the entire album or tracks, I fux with it.

-

Dre has never been this animated. Maybe his old predictable style and cadence bored him. Maybe it bored us. Maybe it was his new crop of ghostwriters. idk. Didn't expect this much of Dre rhyming considering how feature heavy it was.

-

Can't wait to hear everything in its entirety though. There's plenty of classic Dre hallmarks that shows growth throughout.

-

First Thoughts: Anderson .Paak has a future in this game. "Animals" stood out immediately. Whether it was the track that was produced by Dre & Primo or Anderson .Paak's distinctive voice, this track wins. Not to mention the subject matter. The song's message will surely resonate with many.

Candice Pillay has a cool voice on "Medicine Man." Tone reminds me of Jhene Aiko.

Thanks! Listened to it about 5x already. Maybe he's bored with his simpler style. Idk. It still sounds good to me though. Definitely a head nodder. Is that his theme song from his radio show?

That is very impressive for a digital-only release. It will see another surge when the CDs and vinyl come out (for us old timers/audiophiles lol)
