Lifetime Announces Start Date for ‘The Jacksons: Next Generation

jacksonsnextgeneration

Upcoming docuseries “The Jacksons: Next Generation,” focusing on the third generation of the fame Jackson family (Taj, Taryll and TJ – Tito Jackson’s sons) will debut on Lifetime on Friday, Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. ET. The series features the brothers as they work to balance a career and their lives as traditional family men while living up to the pressures and demands that comes with their last name.

The official logline: The siblings, known as the music group 3T, have toured and sold more than three million records worldwide just off their debut album. Still impacted by the loss of their mother, Dee Dee, the brothers are raising their children and managing the day-to-day tasks within their families, just like everyone else. Their quest for normalcy, however, often collides head-on with the good and bad of living with one of history’s most renowned last names. The series reveals what it’s like for them living with the last name Jackson including how they deal with constant rumors, stalkers, and frauds who all want a piece of anything and anyone related to the family’s legacy.

Well this sounds stupid. Outside of a face value mention of their debut album which really alludes to nothing, you'd think that they're a young, uprising group...

Giving Tito Jackson a show would be a stretch, let alone his age 30-something sons.

Why??? I swear to god they are so vanilla. No interested at all. The Jackson name and the lure of Mj's kids is what got them this show.

Is Tito's album out yet? I'd be much more interested in that, TBH.

3T are awesome, and anyone who rags on them in terms of popularity doesn't understand just how massive they were here in the UK and Europe in the 90's.

As I recall, the only act that outsold them was the Spice Girls. Brotherhood was HUGE. The sales were so big that there were at least 5 singles issued, which was more than the norm at the time. I remember that Why, Anything, 24/7, I Need You, and Gotta Be You were inescapable on the TV and the radio. You couldn't turn on the TV to any music channel without seeing them.

I saw the Brotherhood tour live in 1997, as well. The same year I saw MJ on the HIStory tour. And it wasn't a small scale tour - it was ARENA's. And they were all sold out.

It's just a shame they were never able to follow that up - but that's solely down to the problems Michael was having with Sony.

It's my understanding that they weren't quite as popular stateside - but they truly were huge here.

Also, unrelated - I think my girlfriend is going to be in this show. A couple of months ago, she was part of a group of MJ fans that met 3T at the airport, and she said they had a camera crew with them.

Great. Just what the world needs: Another corny Jacksons reality show. And with 3T? Might as well give Siggy a show as well.

I'm gonna be blunt, here: the general public only cares about two Jacksons: Michael and Janet.

Michael is dead. There's just no need for a reality show featuring any other Jacksons.

Sure, these guys may have talent but most of us can't even name more than one of their songs.

lowkey

They are corny point blank, and weird looking. their show will mostly be about them defending uncle michael's name or whatever. I would much rather watch randy and jermaine's babymomma's show wiht all her kids who are siblings/cousins plus that extra kid who nobody knows who he belongs to. how did they scrap this show but give one to 3t?

I enjoyed the brothers' reality series, when they were trying to reunite and record new songs before Michael died.
