Bobby And Whitney's Daughter, Bobbi Kristina, Dies

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, the only daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died Sunday, nearly five months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub of her home, her family said.

Brown has been unresponsive in hospitals and hospice care since she was found in a bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia, homeon Jan. 31. Her family said she suffered irreversible brain damage.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," her family told NBC News in a statement. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Bobbi Kristina was music royalty as the daughter of two superstars — and the granddaughter of another, Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney, who died in February 2012.

She became even better known at age 10 when she was featured on her father's reality TV series, "Being Bobby Brown."

Police have said that they investigated the case as a medical emergency and that no foul play is suspected. No criminal charges have ever been brought.

But late last month, Brown's conservator sued Nick Gordon — who has been described as Brown's boyfriend and husband, an attachment her family denies — for $10 million, accusing him of having physically abused Brown and having improperly withdrawn $11,000 from her bank account after she was in a coma.

Whitney Houston brought Gordon into her household as an orphan at the age of 12, raising him with her daughter after divorcing Bobby Brown in 2007.

Gordon wore a large tattoo of Houston's face on his arm and called the singer "mom," but she never adopted him or included him in her will.

As sad as it is she chose to hit the hard drugs and whatever else. Where was her family when she was out of control? Now I assume there will be legal fights as to who the estate passes onto.

Very sad sad but not surprising considering she has been unresponsive ever since they found her in that tub. I can't vouch for what her life must have been like, but considering both of her parents had substance abuse issues and that her life was put under a fishbowl even though she wasn't a celebrity herself had to have been incredibly difficult. And losing her mother before even fully growing up must have been devastating. At least she is finally at peace. RIP Bobbi Christina.

Bobbi Kris lived in her own home, spent her own money and dared anybody to tell her who to date. The fact is she was an Adult ( a 22yr old kid to most of us, but still of legal age to live her own life). Cissy, Pat & Bobby couldnt follow her around 24/7 and we all know Bobbi Kris wasnt having any of that. We have to stop assuming things and blaming Family members when their relatives are out of control. Most families have 1 or more relatives that are "addicts" and 100% of the time 1 or more family members try to help. NONE of us are responsible for the deaths of our relatives that spiral out of control...Every Man is responsible for his own Journey, he has the option to seek help or turn it down and go another path that could lead to death...That's Life...

Mr. Brown (BK's father) should and could have been around Bobbi Kristina more when Whitney had passed away. It is quite obvious she took it really hard because she was really close with her mother.I know Mr. Brown had re-married and moved on but BK was still his daughter. In other words, all of this is not BK's fault. As others have mentioned she never really had a chance giventhe way she was raised. She had a pretty difficult up bringing and her passing is a tragedy and (imo the by product of the influence of the adults in her life). It is important to love and cherish the ones we love when they are HERE on earth not after the fact. God rest her soul, I know right now she is in Whitney arms, her mother who loved her dearly. sad

Are you sure he wasn't around?

Please don't take this the wrong way because I'm just clarifying but, though Bobby was no saint, he always takes a lot of heat and blame for the things the women in his life have done. We all know Whitney had a mind of her own and Bobbi, though devastated by Whitney's death, was headstrong and did what she wanted common sense be damned.

What might be a good takeaway from this is that maybe Bobby wasn't an effective parent while Whitney was alive (the arguement can be made for Whitney as well considering both abused drugs) so Bobbi wasn't having it after her mothers death?

thumbs up! No matter how much it hurts, you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. It's a waste of time and energy. The best thing you can do is pray for them. Keep God first in your life.

This is not about Whitney vs Bobby though. I am referring to those years after Whitney passed which BK took very hard. No Bobbi was not around that much (during that period)as much as he could have.He was mostly with his other family and wife. BK was with her boyfriend and Cissy and others tried to support her but as her father he should have been there the most. I am tired of people blaming this young women for alll her problems when its not her fault and a lot of her problems are a result of the way she was raised and the adults in her life (not just her parents). The takeaway is that, although we might have been a shitty parent, we need to be there for our children when they need us the most (when BK's mother passed away) since that obviously affected her emotionally and psychologically. Once BK was hospitalized Bobbi was there more but it was to late by then. Very tragic...

Bobbi is @ peace now with her mother......

Please don't blame her father. He stepped up and did all he could to save her. Bobby Brown is a class act.....I know he is hurting now. But he will be rewarded for his undying love for her. They made peace that's all that matters now.

Remove the well known names and this type of shit happens every minute. I will repeat what I posted when Bobbi Kristina was taken to hospital.

First Lady Jackie Kennedy: "If you bungle raising your children, nothing else you do in life matters."

This young woman didin't stand a chance. Nobody in her family had the guts to confront Mr. Brown or Ms. Houston about being dope addicts. Bobbi Kristina should have been removed from their care; she's dead because of those two fools. Narcissism and child rearing don't mix... that's why this shit is so crazy now. I feel sorry for this generation of children, when your parents are fuck-ups...

I'm sorry, doesn't cut either...

Amen! I don't care how much money they have or how famous they are, drug addicts are incapable of being effective parents. There has to be someone, somewhere to keep the kid(s) stable and teach them some kind of morality. I think both sides of the family really dropped the ball when it came to Bobbi. When she was a kid, who was she staying with and what kind of environment was she in when Nippy and Bobby were away partying and getting high? Were they not able to lead by example? I don't know. It's just really sad. But, I guess when all is said and done, no matter what kind of childhood you had, ultimately, you are responsible for the decisions you make when you are an adult. I just feel so bad that she didn't have other family members who were able to intervene and take control at some point when she was younger. It very well could have made a huge difference.
