Clutching at straws there.....no melodies similar...

.

Which is nothing like his other song which was damn near 4 bars note for note with the main hookline of "won't Back Down"!

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

He doesn't have enough talent to take what he learned from his music influences and turn it into his own original work?! Meh! talk to the hand

Sam Smith is "biting" from Tom Petty again?, interesting, since it's not like Tom is an R&B/Soul cat like say if Smith was "borrowing" from Smokey, Marvin, Stevie et al. Maybe it's unintentional copying, as I've said before, there's only a finite amount of notes/melodies etc you can create from. Although in some instances, when it's blantant like 'Blurred Lines' or 'Ice Ice Baby' (I think Ice's excuse for his has a different 'tssh' or something lol ) I doubt whether Public Enemy's albums would even get past samples clearance nowadays without them having to fork out millions in royalties and I think that's why De La's discography isn't really readily available because of their samples.

There is nothing appealing about this guy as an artist. NOTHING.

I see more similarities here than I did against "Won't Back Down", and that case won in court.

We'll see what happens. Two plagiarizing suits so soon would probably hurt him quite a bit.

There's only 12 notes. Every chord progression has been done. The reason Tom Petty could get a grip of royalties was chordal AND melodic similarities, especially of the hook.

But who knows, if Pharrell had to pay the estate of Marvin Gaye for "Blurred Lines" then this is possible.
