Am I the only one who enjoys the opening string of urban cuts on Invincible? I've really been digging Unbreakable and Invincible as
of late.. Always have enjoyed the other ballads like Break of Dawn and Butterflies.

Break of Dawn is a really chill song but that part in the middle "its time to make sweet love" or whatevs is sorta cringe-y confused I remember hearing a dj mix that blended BOD with De La Soul Breakadawn into Can't Help It, the sequence was sweet.

First half of Invincible, from Unbreakable right through to Speechless is a solid R&B album. Kinda goes off the boil in the second half though.

I especially love Heaven Can Wait and Break of Dawn. And YRMW, Unbreakable and Heartbreaker are also killer jams as good as any of the New Jack Swing tracks from Dangerous imo.

.

Took your advice, bought the deluxe CD of Xscape, will listen to it over the net few days. The lady in the store told me its good, much better than Michael.

Also bought a copy of Blood on the Dancefloor (Album) and the Very Best of the Jacksons to fill in those Jackson5/Jacksons gaps. I really bought it too, as I love the songs "One day in your life" and "Show you the way to go".

.

Now just need a copy of Invincible eek , but I do have the others.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Aw you gotta get a copy of Invincible if your collection is that deep (if not all four colors lol, the fun I had with that making displays at Borders Bookstore.. ah... the good ol days) It may not be "amazing" but its a special album regardless as the artist was involved with its creation, despite his detachment from reality.

I do, as the songs are more memorable and cover a wide period, dating from the immediate post thriller period with Love never felt so good up to the Invincible era Blue Gangsta. I love most of the songs, find Place with no name and Do you know where your children are a bit tedious. Love Loving you, Xscape and Chicago. Still I can see why they were not released as they do not fit the feel of the other tracks on the albums.

.

Glad I bought the deluxe set for $19.95 (NZD $ = 68cents US) rather than the standard set for $12.00 (With silver cover and only 8 songs!). The originals sound great too and I love the DVD with Rodney and LA Reid talking about their working with Michael.

.

Easily better than Michael (the album).

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I'm glad you like Xscape. The deluxe edition is WELL WORTH the money. The Estate, LA Reid and team did a great job with production and promotion. My only complaint is that APWNN was released instead of Chicago. R&B radio was ready to jump all over that song.

I just joined MJJ community, that page is really cool. Heaps of mature MJ fans and they have a Prince thread too, I think I am in heaven.

Agree about Chicago being first single, and I think Loving you should have been second. Chicago is that instantly catchy Michael groove that gets locked in your head and refuses to leave.

I have been aware of him since "Rock with you" was a single, when I was about 4. I was truly liking him by the time Beat it and Billie Jean were number one hits, and remember buying a copy of we are the world when I was 8½.

.

We were quite poor as kids and did not have money to spend on music. So it was when I was 11 I bought my first cassette copy of Bad when it came out.I pretty much bought all the albums after that as they came out except Invincible. I did not really bother with the singles then as I thought I had the album (Dumb, as MJ singles are very collectable), but do remember buying cassette singles of Leave me alone (1989), Black or white, In the Closet and of course Give in to me.

.

I remember queuing up at midnight in June 1995 when History came out. As it was winter at the time, I was very cold, but I knew it was a great album. Basically I was into Michael Jackson before I was into Prince, although Prince kind of took over, I have still kept my fandom strong for Michael.

.

So totalling it up 35 years if you are being kind (Rock with you) and 28 years if you are being mean (When I bought Bad).

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Ya'll got any top 10's? Here's personal favs (it was hard to choose)
My Personal Favorite MJ songs:
1) Man In The Mirror (Best song ever(to me). Great message. Great everything.)
2) Billie Jean
3) You Rock My World (the nostalgia is real. This is the first music video I saw of MJ. Because I use to watch "The Fresh Prince". If you watch that show you know Carlton did his silly dance but he also did MJ impressions. My dad told me he was impersonating Michael Jackson and then I went on YouTube and then...)
4) Black or White (Love love love the message)
5) Will You Be There
6) This Is It
7) P.Y.T (a fun, sweet song)
8) Ghosts/Is It Scary (I like to think of them as 'brother and sister'.)
9) Threatened (Brilliant. Gotta love that rap by that dude from the twilight zone!)
10) Love Never Felt So Good (I mean, it mean't a lot to me when it came out last year. They did a good job with this one)

Agreed! I was blown away by this song, just too perfect in every way. I love it, and when the he's spittin' the chorus with "lovin' meee" resounding on top, damn it makes the song for me. I was really surprised. "Michael" was ok, so I expected nothing much from this album. But it's amazing, and I honestly think of it as a nice change from "History"/"Invincible" style tracks. The 2014 production sounds really good on it, and will keep the King of Pop at the Top in the 21st century. All the songs are good to me. The only one I'm trying to get into is "Blue Gangsta".. and even that track is good

Maybe eye do, just not like eye did before pimp2

The original mix of blue Gangsta is better, but both versions have that great call and response opening.

My favourite 10 MJ songs and believe me this changes a lot. I will feel bad afterwards when I realised the songs I have missed out.

.

1. TWYMMF - Just a perfect love song, the beat the lyrics, the acapella "You knock me offa my feet" the video and the classic MJ vocals and the first song to really bring the AOWS!!! into everything. A true classic

2. Don't stop til you get enough - A beautiful song and so danceable.

3. Beat It (No reason needed) always loved, the song that made a MJ fan for life.

4. Man in the Mirror (Again I just love it)

5. Who is it - I loveany of mysterious MJ jams and this is a doozy, even has a very Prince like feel to it.

6. Jam - Multitracked vocals, catchy as hell melodies and lines. Conscious lyrics I always love

7. Billie Jean - Because, no because needed

8. Workin day and night, I just love these floor fillers from off the wall. I get off my butt every time it comes on.

9. Rock with you - Just a beautiful song, sincere and full of love, but oh so catchy.

10=. Stranger in Moscow - Love it, conscious lyrics, loneliness and great sound effects.

10=. You rock my world, A very catchy and dancey number, great beat memorable and a floor filler. Plus Chris Tucker betting him Never never land he can't get that girl - watch me I'll get that girl.

Near the the top 10 - Smooth Criminal, Just good friends, Bad, Another part of me, In the closet, This time around, Tabloid Junkie, 2bad, BODF, Ghosts, Cry, Butterflies, Hollywood tonight, Love never felt so good, Chicago, Loving you, Xscape, Slave to the Rhythm

.

I told you this shit would be hard!

.

Then Jacksons earlier trax

1. One day in ur life

2. The love u save

3. Dancing Machine

4. Walk right now

5. Show u the way 2 go.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Neverland no more: All references to the King of Pop are removed from Michael Jackson’s ranch as Sotheby’s still trying to sell the renamed Sycamore Valley for $100m

  • Southern California ranch of Michael Jackson went on the market in May
  • Sotheby's International Realty has renamed it Sycamore Valley Ranch
  • Only clue that Jackson used to live there is the 5,000 square-foot cinema
  • Brochures sent out to potential buyers make no mention of the King of Pop

Michael Jackson’s memory has been stripped from his southern California ranch ‘Neverland’ in brochures sent out by the estate agents desperately trying to sell it.

The King of Pop lived in the sprawling $110million (£64million) amusement park for more than 20 years, but every clue of his presence has been removed from the Los Olivos property.

Renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch, the property has been on the market with estate agent Sotheby’s International Realty since May.

But a brochure sent out to potential buyers makes no reference to Jacko, and instead describes the singer’s former home as the ‘ultimate ranch retreat and gated estate of approximately 2,698 acres’.

When Michael Jackson lived in the property, it was home to a fairground and a zoo, but these have long been removed.

Only the 5,000 square-foot cinema remains as final hint at the property’s once flamboyant past.

Jackson bought the property in 1987 for $19.5million (£12.5million), but handed the ranch over to investment film Colony Capital LLC in 2008 following financial troubles.

‘We hope and trust that any new owners of Neverland will respect the historical importance and special nature of this wonderful property.

‘Michael’s memory lives on in the hearts of his fans worldwide,’ the singer’s estate said in a statement in May.

The property is haunted by allegations that the pop star molested children during sleepovers at the ranch, including Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.

But Jackson, who died from an overdose of the anaesthetic propofol in 2009, aged 50, was never convicted of any offence.

Neverland, which was named for J.M. Barrie’s tale Peter Pan about a boy who refused to grow up, has stood empty since Jackson’s death.

Jackson, a former child star whose hits included ‘Thriller’ and ‘Billie Jean’, was one of the most successful entertainers of all time and the recipient of 13 Grammy Awards.

Phone calls to Sotheby's International Realty went unanswered.

Old news and you used the Daily Mail as a source, a British gutter press tabloid paper that did nothing but rubbish Michael Jackson and insult his personal life.

.

Michael left Neverland after the 2005 trial and lived all around the world after that, Bahrain, Ireland, Los Angeles and so on. Google earth images show clearly many of Michael's fairground attractions are long gone and the gates are now missing the "Neverland" imagery.

.

Had he lived, he was probably going to lose it anyway. Michael was in desparate financial straits after the 2nd trial. He was not eager to be seen so close to other peoples kids after trial 2 and the ranch was too much a reminder of the kiddie stuff.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
