There was a live performance I taped off the radio around 1990 by some old soul singer (Etta James?) that I used to love though I only got a fragment of it. All these years later I still don't know what it was though I remember these two lines...

"If I have to act like I'm blind

and stand on the corner and beg for dimes"

“The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Yep, a few times. There's this song from around 1985 that i remember liking, but could never find out who sung it. It was a pop song and part of the lyrics went like this "the weight of the world, is on my shoulders" ? I remember the year because this was around the time that don henley was having success with his building the perfect beast album.

Just recently i was passing through LA and was listening to a station(college maybe?) and they played this neo-soul song that's been stuck in my brain. All i remember is it was a woman singing, and the music was jazzy.

Also about 2 years ago there was this car commercial that had some cool music that i would like to hear more of. This guy and gal were cruising down a city street while this sorta trip hop song was playing.

It defitinetly sucks hearing a song that you like, and not know who created it, or be able to listen to it more than once or twice.
