I like her better than the old one cause she doesn't dangle babies off of balconies, but how was this acheived when her last hit was 14 years ago?

All kidding aside though this clip didn't give me much life, and it should have considering the rave reviews his set garnered, which tells me a few things:

Criticism has adjusted its curve to LCD?

The other acts were even worse?

It's been so long people forgot what "electricity" constitutes in a performance?

Careful. You're in for an argument there, wait for the Janet stans.

lol I don't mean to offend anyone but I don't see how you can argue otherwise.

In the past 2 months, I've seen enough charts/"graphs" and at times, paragraphs, that claim Janet > Michael and Madonna in terms of overall success. I like her, but damn lol

Maybe eye do, just not like eye did before pimp2

yeah, pass the popcorn lol it's crazy how every Janet Jackson turns you into a silly battle, lol.Other artists are always mentioned and the comparison game begins. How about a Janet thread that discusses *her* only?? can you guys do that for once? Lol

Agree.

And they are quick to blame other fanbases for the comparisions whofarted when actually they are the ones that constantly bring up other artists. Then when someone calls them out on it, they get hostile and blame other fanbases. If we were to pull up all the Janet threads that have been made witin the last 3 months, most of the janet fans are the ones that bring up and shade other artists in the janet threads.

Qazz

Janet stans have the biggest "Jan Brady" complex of any fan base I've ever seen. They are massively threatened, insecure and defensive. They think that Janet is always being stiffed, so they go out of their way to try and reaffirm her status and embellish her "accomplishments" in some laughable attempt to hoist her up to the level of her clearly more successful peers (MJ, Madonna) that the greater media and general public overall don't, while whitewashing and making excuses for her failures. From what I've seen Madonna and MJ fans don't even care that much about Janet. They don't see her as a threat (because she's not) and are usually more indifferent to her than the other way around. Janet stans were actually bragging on her being a trending topic on her birthday (a day she chose to make announcements about illfaited new music that's supposed to be in the pipeline or whatever.) Funny. When Time-Life in conjunction with QVC ever release that alleged new album of hers and it fails to even sell what Discipline did, it'll be hilarious to see them come up with more excuses and whitewashing for why. Dust off those 10 year old "she's blacklisted" claims again. *wink*

"Janet Jackson is like an 80s sitcom that's been off the air for over 25 years; you see a rerun and realize it wasn't that great..."

There will never be another King of Pop. Michael Jackson was one of a kind.

However, if I could suggest someone in today's day and age that I feel is a hard working and versatile entertainer like Michael, it would have to be:

I think Bruno Mars is terrific as well. smile Like I said before, I don't think there can be a replacement for Michael Jackson. But, of the artists out there today, Justin happens to be MY personal favorite when it comes to the versatile aspects of his artistry (music, dancing, acting, comedy).

Sure. And I saw Bruno play the Superbowl. He is a fantastic artist. I can't say anything bad about him and I know he will be around for a long time.

But, I have also watched Justin live, and have immensely enjoyed his performances and skits on SNL. I also love his collaborations with Jimmy Fallon (History of Rap, etc.).

I guess it comes down to a matter of preference, really. I love what Justin does and I have tremendous respect for him.
