Spin-off thread: Favourite second songs on third sides of double albums

Joy Inside my Tears (Songs in the key of Life)

If I was your Girlfriend (Sign O The Times)

Something in the water (1999)

The ballad of Danny Bailey (Goodby Yellow Brick Road)

John McLaughlin (Bitches Brew)

Has anyone tried unplugging the United States and plugging it back in?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I first thought this thread was nonsense, but now that I think of it... Bob Dylan's Tempest side 3 opens with the blues of Early Roman Kings and then goes into a 9 minute tale of a love triangle gone badly wrong called Tin Angel. So actually, I do have a favourite 2nd song on side 3!
Just hope we don't get too many of these threads... cool

part was satire, sure, but i loved the other threads and the idea in general. in the age of single downloads, streaming and personal playlists, the concept and the artform of the album is almost forgotten. part of it was already lost with the shift from vinyl to CD, skipping with the remote was suddenly so easy... so this thread even takes you back one step further than the opener/closer threads, because CDs will not do, you need to check the actual vinyl copy to answer

Has anyone tried unplugging the United States and plugging it back in?

Yes it is, but technically Songs In The Key Of Life is 3 records with the 45. It was 2 8-tracks though.
