I guess Berry Gordy figured this out during the filming of Mahogany when he had problems with Diana, and also with her bum rushing her way into The Wiz movie, in which Stephanie Mills was said to be the original choice. Speaking of Mahogany, Jermaine had some songs on the soundtrack including one popular in some discos Erucu. I've heard that Stephanie is supposed to appear in the upcoming live NBC version of The Wiz.
