I understand that TIDAL wants to offer something different from other streaming sites, but I feel like there has been zero loyalty to the people who still buy physical product. Leaks have ruined it for everyone!

TIDAL will hopefully be the "final wave" or end of the 70s commercialized music movement. Maybe folks will stop rapping about millionaire mansions, spinning rims, and gold teeth when they can't fake afford them anymore and popular music will become somewhat familiar/realistic again.

Where does the 70's factor into this? Just asking.

The whole "music industry" here's a piece of plastic that we can do sales projections upon... all that crap is straight outta the late 60s/early 70s post-Beatles world. Beatlemania showed the world that people would buy toys that look like music stars.

.

Sure it was a money making entity but it was marketing/glamorization/product-vs-talent-driven mentality of the late 60s into the 70s that made it "too big to fail". Now that its failing miserably, the relics and children of the relics are confused and doing just as Cinny suggested - creating this generations version of "only on compact disc" fake rewards.

.

Except these days kids just wait til the next day, "steal" it, and repost it.

Good call. I was more bitching about NO reward for physical formats (the dying one).
