There are dozens of young women who are featured on the Afro Punk site that features African Americans who play rock music of all descriptions. As for "young" that depends on your POV. ] , Sleater-Kenney (PNW indie rock icons and still fairly young I guess), Sia Furler (Zero 7 and solo...older but still young), Jane Bunnett and Maqueque (all woman jazz band). Bjork, Meshell Ndegeocello, Ceu, Bebel Gilberto all slightly older, sexy, sensuous but nowhere near slutty.
