Paul Mccartney Is The Rappers New Favorites.

paul is everywhere on the charts right now. He's on 3 kanye songs, and a Rihanna song. And i there's supposed to be a Lady GaGa one coming up. I'm sure Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Sam Smith will get him next.

I wouldn't be surprised if ''shake that sausage of your'' Ft. Rick Ross, 2 Chainz & Paul Mccartney is next. Paul might be the Chris Brown or R. Kelly of the next few years. Being the chorus man on every r&b & hip-hop track. I'm calling it right now....

I think he's just having fun and a bit of a laugh. Why wouldn't you when you're 70 years old and have achieved about everything possible in your field!

I have all of Paul's solo albums and his recordings with Wings. His gift for capturing strong melodies has proved to be seemingly effortless and timeless. It's no surprise folks are asking to team up with him.

He's kind of becoming like Dave Grohl in that regard.

So it's not the drummer from Blink 182 anymore?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I think it diminishes his legacy. It also makes me wonder why he would agree to all of this. Is he worried people will forget about him and his huge impact on music?? I don't know, but I think it's totally unnecessary. Maybe he should think about retirement?

Because he's one of the most important melodic craftsmen of the past 100 years. That's why.

Ok.

Seems more like the gimmick of the month2 move product or garner attention beyond their demographic.

Doesn't matter to me. In the past, if he had a song that I liked, it just happened randomly so it wasn't like he was the type of artist that was known for frequently putting out the type of jams that I like. In other words, he wasn't a funk artist so he's not the type of artist that I have to depend on for my type of jams so even if he does sell out to shit hop, I feel no loss. Now, folks like Ronald Isley, Charlie Wilson, and now unfortunately, Prince....damn right it pisses me off when they sell out because shit hop's gain is funk's loss.

Andy is a four letter word.

For me, hip hop was always a fusion and since sampling was basically outlawed, it took a turn for the worse, both percussively and melodically. If they have to bring in a Beatle to write and play, then that is okay. They probably won't be clearing any Beatles samples! razz

Maybe Sir Paul doesn't want to feel like he's simply standing on a pedestal in a museum. If he wants mix it up a bit, and try a few new things, or perhaps let people know he can be relevant to music in 2015, I'm cool with it, whether he hits or misses.

I totally disagree with you.

He's a creative musician. You want him to stop making music? You want him to stop making art?
You are faulting him because a new generation of recording artists are now recognizing that he's
a great songwriter/musician/producer?

I love that young recording artists are wanting to work with a fucking Beatle! This lets you know
that the Beatles were simply amazing. As long as Paul McCartney is breathing, our world benefits
from the art he produces.
