CHIC is my favourite band EVER and I was looking forward to hearing the full song for this first time yesterday. I like it, it's very good, but it isn't great. It has all the original Chic singers including Fonzi on it, but I wish they were featured more prominently. And it would have been better with a string section.
Off to my local record store to pick up the 12" now!
But the video... yikes! What is that all about? Just like the white winged dove... |

yeah, to me it sounds like Chic but it sound more like a tribute to Chic than an actual Chic song........or an outtake they left off the record because it was not as funky as the other stuff | |

I saw Nile and the band in Leeds yesterday... for those who don't know, they're now doing "Why", "Happy Man", "My Feet Keep Dancing", "Get Lucky" and (obviously) the new single as part of their live set. They were awesome as usual. I need to see them at least once more before my time on earth is done, lol. |

After listening to a recent interview with Kathy, I really don't see her getting back with her sisters. But Kathy's been working with a production team called Aristofreeks. Their latest single is called "Keep It Movin'". Aristofreeks are also working on new music with Norma Jean Wright, Luci Martin, and Alfa Anderson. The former CHIC ladies have formed a group called Next Step.

"I'll Be There" debuted at #1 on the UK Physical Singles Chart. They performed it (lipsynced) along with an extended internet-only bonus performance of "Good Times" (live) on Jonathan Ross' UK chat show. No interview though. Nile has said the new track is hard to play live. It'll be interesting to see if they do it live next week on Jimmy Kimmel.
