I had to miss this performance, but I think it was a good call for Madonna to perform it with Taylor Swift, and I think it was a good performance of the song from what I saw. One of my favorites off the album. When I heard she was going to perform with Taylor Swift I was afraid it would be like the kissing thing with Britney..but it wasn't. Good call, Madonna.

I found this on another forum....I had a feeling I would have to drag it to this site lol

This is for Kcool.....

Let's remember that, while her sales may not be blockbuster flavored, she's still outperforming her "peers". Many of whom have done some of the ridiculous suggestions posted in the last thread....

Madonna's Rebel Heart outsold Prince and his much ballyhooed return to Warner Bros. Records, which gave him a whopping 51K in week one.

Madonna's Rebel Heart sold right at what mega-seller Garth Brooks' latest moved, 119K his first week back fresh from retirement.

Madonna's Rebel Heart outsold giveaway gods U2, whose latest only managed 28K their first week, but I guess we all know what happened there so we'll move on. <img src=" />

Springsteen? 99K

Do we even need to tap into the the pretenders to the throne from years past and present? J.Lo at 33K... Mariah at 53K... Mary J Blige at 57K... Shakira at 85K... Madonna's Rebel Heart outsold them all.

lol

but there are others - opposite examples: Pink Floyd, AC / DC, etc.

and it's not fair - to compare its sales with sales of Prince, who: 1) had a comparable commercial success only in 1984-1987; 2) does not have nearly as much PR: performances on the central channels, interviews, magazine covers, etc .; 3) does not have goals took first place in the charts at all costs, etc.

Rebel heart will be at the level of sales last album Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand at the end of the year.

This album is mediocre-average success, not a failure and not a blockbuster, in my opinion.

Another surprise - the hypocrisy of Madonna fans. On the one hand they constantly repeat that she remains in the top division of the music and her new music is relevant - before the release of this album, people have been doing very high sales forecasts; On the other hand, they compare with the artists, who either never commensurate with her success, or have very few people interested in the last 15-20 years.

what's your point? Barbra Streisand just had another hit record...

Thx. The performance with Swift was cool, but personally I prefer the Ellen performance.

.

Did she also present an award or something? What are the pics of her onstage in a dress?

.

As for the concern over record sales, obviously that is not her cash cow these days, so I'm not sure how relevant it all is. Sales (physical and downloads) are an increasingly shrinking pie. I personally couldn't care less how many or few others buy it, I love RH! music

Exclusive Song Premiere: Hear Madonna's 'Ghosttown' Remix

By Keith Caulfield | March 30, 2015 8:39 PM EDT

madonna-performs-ghosttown-during-the-20

Fresh off Madonna’s performance of her new single “Ghosttown” during the iHeartRadio Music Awards (with special guest Taylor Swift!), Billboard has the exclusive premiere of the song’s first official remix.

Dutch DJ/producer Don Diablo transforms the mid-tempo track into a thumping club cut, which is sure to sail up Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. Listen to the track, below:

Ghosttown” is the follow-up to “Living for Love,” which became Madonna’srecord-extending 44th No. 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart in March. Both tracks are lifted from Madonna’s latest album, Rebel Heart, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 -- her 21st top 10 effort.

As “Ghosttown” makes its way toward dance floors, the original version of the song continues to grow on the airwaves: it climbs 21-20 on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart dated April 11, while it’s bubbling under the threshold of the Adult Pop Songs tally.

A - Back in the dark ages I used to be on a Madonna mailing list and this fella, Keith Caulfield, was like Mr. Charts - its pretty neat to see him working for Billboard.

.

B - Does anyone else hope for a remix that isn't a "thumping club cut"? This is the track she should get William Orbit or someone, dare I say, creative to remix. I bet Diplo could run circles around Ghosttown. Not impressed - NEXT!

Yes KCOOL that avant garde indie chanteuse RITA ORA and some never before heard singer named RIHANNA aren't courting Princeua Welton productions despite his two unprecedented masterpieces and their record breaking low sales and unexcitement. And he provided non-entitled accidental movie star RITA ORA with her first heatseeker. All 30 seconds of it. And he didn't produce an album with Michael Jackson's backup singer, popular from her time on a network television singing competition. Keep drinking that purple haterade weirdo. Its making you an easy target.

.

Shame on her for being proud of her work and promoting it lol
