BATTLE OF SINGERS: Jeff Buckley, Lewis Taylor, Jon B, Kenny Lattimore

Jeff wrote and sang Everybody Here Wants You, then Lewis Taylor, Jon B, and Kenny Lattimore did their own versions. Who wins?

The ORIGINAL.

KENNY LATTIMORE

JON B

LEWIS TAYLOR

Good topic, but this strikes me more as a battle of song versions than of singers. and I take the original over the rest. The song itself is one of the best love ballads you'll ever find, and Buckley's version is simply a work of art.

Jeff Buckley's "Lover, You Should've Come Over" is in my top five pop vocal performances of all
time. There is a section during the "It's never over, she's the tear that hangs inside my soul for-
ever" where his vocal harmonies, albeit so quiet, is too beautiful for words.

When it comes to singing, few people could hold a torch to the uniqueness and beauty of what Jeff had..

Change it one more time..

His dad is much more versatile than Jeff is.

They're both dead.

Their music lives on.

Yours is an appropriate response to a most ridiculous comment.

Wait!... are you saying they aren't dead!? confused Look, you aren't likely to find a bigger Jeff Buckley fan around here than me (except for maybe Amy, but she's not 'around here' anymore). The original question is far more ridiculous than my comment. Also, I'm an unapologetic grammar nazi. When referring to two people's voices who are no longer with us, WAS is the correct word, not IS. Because really, they ARE both dead.

I understood what the poster meant even though Tim Buckley and his son are both dead; and I'm
sure you did too. It's your unapologetic grammar naziism that I was referring to as I am an un-
apologetic nazi when it comes to unapologetic grammar nazis!
