CHARLIE WILSON - damn, there are some good songs on the new album!

.

just when I didnt expect it .... there are these real cool tracks on FOREVER, the new album by former GAP BAND frontman CHARLIE WILSON!

.

INFECTIOUS is incredible funky with its decent oldschool beat, sounds like one of the better Timberland productions, if it is one, not sure about that ....

.

THINGS YOU DO is another favorite! It strongly borrows/samples from the SOS BAND, which is ok with me. Loved that song from scratch!

.

Opinions?

Really? I may need to check it out. Are there any upbeat tempos or all slow jams?

I like Touched By An Angel. I thought Goodnight Kisses was a rather

weak and disappointing single.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Lots of uptempos on here, some midtempos and only 2 ballads ... All tracks are produced proberly, though most of them, dont meet my personal taste. However, after his more than disappointing latest albums, we have songs like INFECTIOUS (feat Snoop Dogg) here, which can easily live up with the best dancefunk tracks released lately or the incredible hookable THINGS YOU DO! WOW!!! BIRTHDAY DRESS is kind of groovy as well ..... Personally, I think Charlie hasnt sound more REAL in ages!

Hey Lover was produced by Jam & Lewis. Kinda sounds like Usher's You Remind Me which was also a Jimmy and Lewis production. Had this on repeat

Yep, HEY LOVER is one of those happy little FlyteTyme jams. Too bad that they fade it out, no proper ending here, unfortunately .... ME AND YOU FOREVER is another Jam & Lewis cutie! But my trophy for best song on album, respectively best FlyteTyme tune in years, still goes to THINGS YOU DO! Never before I heard Jam & Lewis ripping themselves off so effectively. Amazing track! music
