A Taste of Honey is the debut album by the American rhythm and blues group A Taste of Honey. It was produced by Fonce Mizell & Larry Mizell for Sky High Productions and included the number one pop, soul and disco classic "Boogie Oogie Oogie".

Boogie Oogie Oogie by Taste of Honey at the 2011 Native American Music Awards

Janice Marie Johnson, who is of Stockbridge-Munsee-Mohican heritage according to her website's biography, was inducted in the Native American Music Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

I was just watching some of their videos this morning. These ladies don't get the recognition they deserve for, A), being kick-ass musicians and, B), surviving the disco backlash. They did their thing into the '80s and continued to have chart and radio hits but rarely are acknowledged for anything other than "Boogie Oogie Oogie".

Their first album contains their massive hit "Boogie Oogie Oogie" but I think their second album,Another Taste (1979),is even better.It's filled with great songs like "Do It Good","The Rainbow's End","Dance","Race",etc.Not sure why it wasn't as big as the first album,but I highly recommend it.
