Run The Jewels- Best Album Of 2014.

Y'all are sleeping on Run the Jewels. They had the best album of 2013. And probably the best album of 2014. It's a collab between El-P & Killer Mike.

Run the Jewels 2 is a perfect example of where an artist's second album should go, and what it should mean to accomplish along the way. It's hard to believe that Run the Jewels released this album's predecessor only a year ago. When it came out, it sought to outshine and overshadow so many of the biggest Hip-Hop albums of 2013 (most of them bigger names) and did so spectacularly; El-P and Killer Mike carved out a pretty wild and violent debut with their first self-titled release. That they had more quality up their sleeves was to be expected, but the fact that Run the Jewels have followed it up so quickly and arguably even surpassed the debut has caught me off guard.

Run the Jewels was a fascinating album. The lyrics were violent and playfully egotistical, but the pair's wit and skilful delivery made far from generic. El-P's beats were inventive and experimental without wandering into avant-garde territory. It had an extent of personality and conviction I've rarely ever found on a debut LP; the fact that I'm still listening to it fairly regularly only further cements RTJ1 as a Hip-Hop favourite of mine.

I always liked Killer Mike since 10-12 years ago.

The Dungeon Family always have some gems in their camp.

Killer Mike has made some amazing albums. And this duo is one of the best hip-hop duos. Since Outkast to be honest. Creative beats, creative bars, diverse, hard hitting, both got great flow.
