I don't know. As many times as you go in D threads bitching about him, I guess. If you don't like D or don't want to read about him, don't go in threads about him. Really easy. Not sure why it's so hard for you to do just that.

I did not create every single D thread on here and there are going to be multiple threads because he has just released his new cd.

I've got love for you script. I really enjoy some of your threads! especially the ''how would you rate so and so as a singer'' those are always good dsicusions. Making a ''legend'' thread for D an ''ROCK N ROLLL hall of fam'' for D didn't need 2 separate threads.

Or when you made the thread about executive. Who was trashing D.. then made a thread about the response to him. That could have been one thread and not 2 separate threads.

Co-sign. Big , big, BIG D´Angelo fan here, have always supported him through the thick and the thin but come on, Rock´n Roll Hall Of Fame? Seriously? That thought has never ever even crossed my mind.

I´m still learning to accept that rappers are accepted now (and I grew up being part of the HipHop culture, the true HipHop scene) but hey ,it´s the ROCK N ROLL Hall of Fame, so I don´t even expect musicians like D´Angelo or rappers to be part of it.

And I couldn´t care less. Never meant anything to me.

Why can´t there be more than just one thread if we want to discuss more than just one topic regarding a particular artist?

I don´t mind several threads of certain artists that I´m not into. Different aspects or topics require different threads. That one thread you mentioned is about the release of his new album. The other threads deal with other topics relating to D´Angelo, not the album release per se.

there it is Kool...no one can cite any D's influence on anyone else, all they remember (as I do) is his valid and massive breakthrough, but he didnt change the game, and he hasn't spawned a trickle down of others wher eyoucan hear his influence...so again, while I am a huge fan...I just dont see what puts him into the hall of fame.

As far as I´m concerned, you can make as many threads as you like about VanHalen or whatever band. And D´s fans should be able to create as many thread as THEY like, too.

I don´t understand the mods.

D probably has a better chance than most...Remember the Rock'n Roll Founders will be dead soon...Dionne Warwick has been singing for over 60yrs and they nominated & Inducted MaDonna over Dionne...So The Hall is 100% Cliquish.....

I think Rolling Stone pretty much stans for him, so I think he has a decent shot.

Rolling Stone has never really been that friendly towards metal, prog, or Journey/Styx style arena rock. They're more into blues based rock like The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, & Paul Butterfield. They're all inducted, but Rainbow, Iron Maiden, ELP, Yes, & Def Leppard aren't. I'm surprised Metallica, The Eagles, & Genesis got in, especially The Eagles. Maybe they're token acts. It took a long time for Rush & Kiss to get in.

What's wrong with prog? Is it because prog has more classical music influences rather than blues/R&B like Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, or Van Halen? Prog also has some similarities to fusion jazz/jazz rock. That may be a reason Miles Davis is in the hall, when there is little other jazz and jazz was not a big focus in Rolling Stone magazine.
