Billboard: U2 Releasing Video Album Version of 'Songs of Innocence'

2 Copies Beyonce (Again), Releasing Video Album Version of 'Songs of Innocence'

After following in the footsteps of Beyonce with the surprise release of their new album Songs of Innocence, U2 are following the blueprint left by Bey again by releasing their new album in music video form.

Unlike Beyonce, Bono and Co. will not appear in their own videos (those of you hoping for Bono's take on the erotic cabaret of "Partition" must surely be disappointed). Instead, the Songs of Innocence visual album is inspired by the politically charged graffiti murals of Northern Ireland.

Titled Films of Innocence, the 11 offerings come from Oliver Jeffers, Robin Rhode, D*Face, Mode 2, Chloe Early, Ganzeer, Vhils, Maser, ROA, DALeast and Todd James, according to the description on iTunes. You can watch a teaser clip for the video album right here:

The U2 album was not a surprise release, it was a surprise give away, the album BONO had been talking about releasing it for quite awhile and the title was even out there.

Beyonce didnt event any of this shit. The not appearing in your videos was DONE by QUEEN for the made in heaven project where they allowed filmmakers to do their thing, unlike Beyonce who used to showcase herself 24/7. And also the video for every song was being done by groups like ABBA and put out on VHS tape, INXS did this with Full Moon Dirty Hearts, so sorry folks things existed before beyonce. And did she give it away free ? or do any forms of charity with it? oh wait she didnt copy any of that stuff.
