Enjoy! 3 and 4 are my favorites, but they made consistently good albums all through the 80s.

Is it weird that to me, GAP was a 2nd tier Funk Band? At the top of the 2nd tier though.

was just something special about that album.


I agree! Everything clicked on that record. That seems to be the sign of a great band because it seems like each of those bands had an album where they were hitting on all cylinders.

Don't forget Zapp and Roger, the Bar-Kays, and Lakeside. Also, check out Cameo's early work. Most people only know from their pop breakout hit "Word Up", but they had a lot of funky tracks back in the day.

nod I saw them live too in Greenville, SC...Burn Rubber...how I remember standing right at the front and screaming like a freak. (No floor seats then). thumbs up! love them!!! Always have.
